Ummmmm, is there anything conceivably more awesome than Taylor Swift hanging out of a cab singing this version of West Side Story’s “Tonight” as a teaser for the VMA Awards? I think not. MTV hit it out of the ballpark with this one.

This is all a great start to the awards show. In general, though, everyone’s just going to have to work really, really hard to compensate for the fact that, through forces of nature I will never understand, Russell Brand is being allowed to host again this year. Whatever. Better than Dane Cook, anyway.

No, sadly, it’s not Hollywood’s newest hot couple — yet. Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift — two of my favorite kiddos in the biz — are filming a movie together called Valentine’s Day in LA. How much cuteness can you get in one photo? I love these two. I hope they fall in love!

The fabulous Miz Taylor kicked ass at the CMT awards tonight, taking home the fan-voted awards for Best Video and Best Female Video for “Love Story.”

“This is for everybody who still believes in love stories, because I do,” she said in accepting her first award.

Awww, Taylor! Damn straight, girl! What are those silly Jonas brothers up to these days again? That’s right — nothing as cool as what you’re accomplishing.

OMG is it too late to adopt Taylor Swift? I’m just soooo in love with this girl. I want to put her in my pocket and take her with her everywhere. She’s just so enormously talented and adorable and fantastic.
