Some gorgeous, gorgeous, GORGEOUS dresses at the Metropolitan Opera 125th Season Opening Night Gala at Lincoln Plaza tonight.

This kind of makes up for the fact that the Emmy dresses were such snoozers. Kind of.

The star of the night, IMHO, is underage love of my life and aspiring haute couture model Taylor Momsen, who looked unbelievably stunning in a phenomenal dress. Who made that? It is gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous, and Taylor pulls it off flawlessly. I ::heart:: her.

We definitely need to discuss the outfit, but, more than that, I wanna hear your thoughts on the new haircut Taylor’s rocking these days. Is this her new “high-end model” look?

Underage love of my life Taylor Momsen — Jenny Humphrey on Gossip Girl, to some of you — recently signed with IMG and did a series of test shots. Says a source from the shoot:

“Taylor was so nice and so cool. She took the subway from her apartment in Chelsea to the set, with her mom. They said they didn’t want to do the usual obvious stuff that a teen TV star would do; they were looking for really high-end things.”

So Taylor’s looking to do real modeling, rather than smile pretty for Neutrogena and Sketchers, etc, like other teen queens tend to do.

Okay, she’s 14 years old, so I can’t really have a girl crush on her without feeling a little pervy (I think I draw the line at 16, U.S. laws be damned), but I think Taylor Momsen is just the cutest thing on the entire planet.

14-year-old Taylor Momsen, who stars as Jenny Humphrey on Gossip Girl, recently attended her high school’s homecoming dance, even though she is not currently attending classes there.

She wore a black lace tunic (”way too short for a dress,” says a witness) and spent most of the night “huddled” with a gaggle of friends.

Tragically, the writer’s strike has shut down production on Gossip Girl, so it’s a good thing Momsen’s not being a snotty brat to these kids — she may be back in school with them soon enough.
