Remember just a couple days ago when Roseanne Barr took to her blog to call Jon Voight a “frightened little girl in a pink ballet tutu,” among other things?

Well, Jon Voight is not going to sit back and take it.

He released a rebuttal today (shown above), accusing Roseanne of being “sick of mind” and suggesting that she is a “psychopathic liar.”

I can’t decide how I feel about this.

Was Voight’s response appropriate or should he not have responded to Roseanne’s comments at all?

I really can’t recommend it enough. This woman holds nothing back, and it’s entertaining stuff, whether or not you agree with her opinions. Here are some excerpts from the last couple of days:

(just sayin’).

And another:

elizabeth edwards: tell your husband to man up and claim his baby. Divorce him. take your kids and go to the beaches in southern france and then go see gaudi’s art in barcelona. Act like the strong woman that you are, get off the victim wagon. set a feminist example. take half the money and just go.

And just one more:

john edwards is a chump but bush stole all of our money and killed innocent babies and children and women with it…there’s a frickin scandal for ya! and he doesn’t even have to answer for it one one hundredth as much as edwards is being assailed for knocking up one slutty showbiz junkie. The media cares more about sneaky sex than about torture death and holocaust.

Roseanne Barr has apparently decided to embrace the aging process.

The 55-year-old actress showed off some gray at the TV Land Awards in Santa Monica on Sunday.

Eh, you have to hand it to her: in the long run, at least she turned out a lot better than Tom Arnold, who can’t seem to find a red carpet without first finding an eight-ball of coke these days.

That’s what the NY Post is reporting.

Roseanne’s rep denies the rumor, and Roseanne herself has said in the past that she’s not interested in hosting The View.

Insiders have also tossed out names like Joan Rivers, Kathy Griffin, Connie Chung and Whoopi Goldberg as possible replacements.

Further complicating matters is the fact that Rosie’s nemesis, Elizabeth Hasselbeck, is pregnant and will be taking a leave of absence from the show as her due date approaches.
