Like every girl in history who has ever been through a break up, you know that every where you go you are reminded of that person. You hear something funny on TV that you both would have laughed at, “your song” comes on the radio, you run in to a mutual acquaintance. Just because someone is out of your life doesn’t mean you’re going to forget them any time soon, and that’s what Rihanna says she’s dealing with right now.

Even though she and Chris Brown have been done for awhile, the singer says there are constant reminders in their relationship. “There are a lot of … places that we’ve been to together, music, different things that come up that are reminders of your ex. When [his music] comes on the radio, I don’t … turn it off. I like his music. I’ve gotten over it, but there are definitely constant reminders … songs that were our favorite songs, or hit songs.”

Sounds familiar, right? Also, let us not forget that Rihanna and Chris remixed her biggest hit to date “Umbrella” together, so every time she performs that song, the memory must come creeping back to her as well.

Ahhh, break ups are sad, especially under these circumstances. I have no snark for you on this one today.

Okay, hold the phone for one fucking minute.  I’m glad that Rihanna has moved on and I’m overjoyed that she’s not going back to Chris Brown.  Everyone should have love in their life, but Rihanna is dating Dixon from the new 90210?  Really?  This dude’s name is Tristan Wilds, but really he’s just, well … Dixon from the new 90210.  (He was also in The Wire and The Secret Life of Bees, but still … Dixon?)

This new romance came to light this weekend when Rihanna held a small going away party for a friend.  Tristan was there and it was apparent that they were a couple.  Together.  Dating.  To make things worse, a “source” says that he’s going to join RiRi on the road once his 90210 filming has wrapped up.

I’m sure Tristan is a delightful, if boyish and ill-dressed, young man and really, as long as he doesn’t know Rihanna’s lights out, he’s a step in the right direction.

Rihanna was all smiles as she left her Paris hotel on Thursday evening. I have to say — this girl is ALWAYS strikingly gorgeous, and I’m loving the hair now, even if I was a little iffy on it at first.

The lady we’ve been talking about a lot lately (not Kate Gosselin, thank bejeezus), Rihanna stepped out on stage last night at Jay-Z’s LA show and shocked everyone in the audience by not just shutting it down, but performing her new single “Hard” for the first time. The performance was powerful, and even though I am a fairweather Rih fan, I happened to think she killed it. The video quality is crappy, so I’m sure you’ll mainly be listening more than watching, but what do you think of the new single? I thinks she sounds strong and the message of this song is exactly the kinda track you wanna come out with post break-up.

Chris Brown publicly stated that he wished Rihanna hadn’t spoken to 20/20 about the abuse between them earlier this week, which seemed selfish and careless, but his friends? Well, his friends are taking the name “douche nozzles” to a whole new level. Several of Brown’s friends have come to his defense on Twitter and Tash has them all organized right here.

Yeah, not so nice, right? If anything these “friends” are digging Chris Brown deeper in to his hole of irrelevance by coming out and speaking like this about an incident that their friend stated he wished to keep private and dissing the woman who their boy abused. If they think she should have kept her mouth shut, they really should take their own advice.

Chris Brown isn’t too happy that Rihanna went on 20/20 to talk to Diane Sawyer about the abuse between the former couple, but why would he be? Sadly, it seems that Chris thinks that not talking about what happened the night that he beat her face in in Hancock Park will make the incident eventually disappear from the public’s mind, but we all know that as long as anyone’s talking about Christ Brown, “abuser” is going to be the first word that comes to mind.

Chris went to MTV News to talk about his ex’s interview and expressed that even though he understood her reasons for going, he wishes she had just kept quiet. “While I respect Rihanna’s right to discuss the specific events of February 8, I maintain my position that all of the details should remain a private matter between us,” Brown told the network. Of course you would, sweetie, but unfortunately, your lackluster interview with Larry King and the months of silence that Rihanna graciously gave you still left us with questions.

And while we may always think of Chris Brown as a woman-beater, Rihanna wants to make sure that she can move on from this as well. What Chris has to realize when saying that he’d like for this incident to remain private is that he, by nature of his career, cannot be a private person. Once news hits that you’ve beaten your girlfriend, everyone wants to know why. In fact, Rihanna’s reasons for doing the interview was to kind of clear both of their names, “I knew I had to do this in order to move on for me and in order for my fans to move on . . . I don’t want that five years from now every time they see Rihanna, they think of Chris Brown beating me. That’s not who I am.” Perhaps instead of coming across guilt-free in his actions, Chris should take Rihanna’s approach and address the issues head on so that we can all move along.

Good Morning America gets props for getting absolutely the most mileage out of a celebrity interview.  Ever.

Here’s part two of the Rihanna interview that aired this morning.  The singer shares more of the details of what actually happened, such as witnessing Chris Brown’s soulless, blacked out eyes as he beat her — on the night of the Grammys.  The entire, uninterrupted interview will air tonight on 20/20.

You know, I wasn’t sure how I felt about Rihanna after she went back to Chris Brown post-beating.  After watching the first clip of her Good Morning America interview as it aired this morning, I just have a lot of respect for her.  I found her to be absolutely riveting to watch and she’s so clear on what she needs to look at.  If you’re being abused, don’t use “love” as the guiding force for what needs to change.  Love is so absolutely blind and has led so many of us down the wrong path.  It’s not easy to turn your back on love, but when it comes to abuse, it’s absolutely necessary.

Anyway, I’m excited to see more on tomorrow’s GMA as well as 20/20.  Stay strong, Rihanna!

Rihanna’s new album comes out in less than a month, so it’s obviously time to start talking about domestic violence. Sigh. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I’m glad she’s talking, I just wish it didn’t have to have the stench of a PR stunt surrounding it.

Rihanna did an interview with Diane Sawyer, to air on Good Morning America on Thursday and Friday, and you better believe ABC is going to be leaking little quotes from it about every 12 hours up until that time.

“This happened to me … it can happen to anyone,” she told Diane in the interview. The 21-year-old also referred to Chris Brown as “definitely my first big love.”

I don’t even blame Rihanna for this — she is a very young girl dealing with some very big issues. She’s in no position to navigate these waters, and she’s depending on her team for guidance. I think it’s in really poor taste for her management to start dragging her around the talk show circuit using the fact that she was the victim of domestic violence to sell albums. Hopefully at least this publicity will help her send a positive message to women everywhere, and maybe help another woman to seek help if she’s in a similar situation.

The wait might be ova, but I’d be fine if it wasn’t.  Rihanna’s new single “Russian Roulette” dropped — take a listen.

It’s no coincidence that this song is titled after a game that’s all about potentially shooting yourself.  It’s that boring.  Like, you don’t want to be listening to this song if you are driving because you could end up on someone’s lawn Billy Joel style before you know it.  It’ll put you to sleep …a melodic Unisom, if you will.

Overdramatizing?  Probably.  And I know it’s not cool to criticize Rihanna, but why do all her songs sound the same?

Ri-Ri’s ass would get slammed in a spelling bee by Fergie. That bitch can spelling anything, even hard words like “glamorous,” and Rihanna can’t even spell “over.” That’s probably because she got hit in the head earlier this year. Rihanna took to her brand-new Twitter to announce her new album’s release date, stating “The Wait Is Ova. Nov 23 09.”

Glad you’re back on your feet, kiddo, and I’m looking forward to the album.

I’m getting pretty tired of seeing Rihanna’s nipples.

I can understand that sometimes things that look opaque turn out to be sheer under bright lights. That happens. But she seems to have gotten into the regular habit of wearing sheer stuff with no bra on underneath. She knows she’s going to be photographed with bright flashes, but  she just doesn’t care to cover up her milk makers. Am I the only one who thinks that’s a little trashy?

Or am I just being prudish and a little visible areola  in the name of a bra-line free silhouette elegant and sexy?

A lot of sites are also reporting that this photo (also below) shows her vajayjay, but I don’t see a split, so I’m hoping it’s just nude colored undies. (I really loathe the fact that I just zoomed in on a picture of another woman’s crotch to see if it really shows her vagina.)
