Brad Pitt certainly was dressed appropriately for the Time Traveler’s Wife premiere in New York on Wednesday — he looks like he just stepped off the porch of a plantation-era mansion. In typical Brad style, though, he looks remarkably sexy doing it. The thought of what that beard would do to my chin makes me cringe, but I’d still totally have a make-out sesh with him (I always try to look at it as free micro-derm).

Also very sexy: Rachel McAdams, wearing a dress with a neckline that’s practically a waistline. She pulls it off with panache!

Listen, I don’t think it’s even mentionable that Rachel McAdams and Josh Lucas broke up.  Did anyone even know care that they were together in the first place?  No.  But since Jessica and Nick have been such a reconciliation disappointment, I’ve shifted my focus to Rachel McAdams.

Isn’t it possible, now that she’s single again, that she can get back with Ryan Gosling?  Didn’t they seem like the perfect couple even outside of the roles they played in The Notebook?  Where did it go wrong with those two and can it be fixed?  I need a happy Hollywood ending and God only knows that I’m not going to get it from Lindsay and Sam.  Work it out Rach and Ry — do it for me!

Aw, this is kind of tragic to me.

I wanted Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling to live happily ever after until she died slowly in a nursing home with no recollection of who he even was.

But it turns out she’s forgetting about him way, way sooner — she was spotted getting all smoochy-smoochy with her new boy, Josh Lucas, at Tuesday night’s Moet-sponsored Purple Ball in D.C. “They were so lovey-dovey,” says our spy, “nibbling on each other’s necks, gazing into each other’s eyes and doing a lot of flirty touching.”

HopefullyRyan Gosling and Rachel McAdams get it now.  They aren’t meant to be together; they aren’t The Notebook.  The two have split for the second time after a reconciliation this summer.  If it doesn’t work the first time, that’s a sign.  I’ve become a cynical bitch…I’m aware.

Hopefully Ryan was just too busy with work to get to Toronto. I will be devastated if they’ve split up again.

Rachel and Ryan are supposed to be together FOREVER! Didn’t they see The Notebook? They are supposed to dote on one another throughout senility and failing health, realizing again and again that their love is a force of a thing that transcends the wicked confines of the human form and then they die peacefully in one another’s arms and I bawl my eyes out.

DUH.

So I’m glad to hear that they seem to have reunited.

Ryan Gosling made his DJ debut at Hollywood’s Green Door on Tuesday night — playing mostly songs from the ’40s and ’50s in homage to the club’s weekly live jazz night — and guess who showed up?

His ex-girlfriend, Rachel McAdams!

Nothing would make me happier. I bawled my eyes out at The Notebook. Not, like, poignant little tear droplets. Like, blubbering and sobbing like the huge baby that I am. Seriously. Like, Beaches kind of tears. Ryan and Rachel are supposed to grow old together!

Remember when she was rocking the pink hair? I dug that. I have half a mind to put pink streaks in my own hair, but every time I think about it I’m just like, “Yeah, but I don’t have anything to wear with it.” Can’t have my hair clashing with my outfit, now can I?

I’ll let you guys weigh in on the hair, but I do have to say that the dress is not especially flattering. It looks like her boobs are being squished. If there’s one universal truth about boobs, it’s that you shouldn’t wear anything that squishes them.

They broke up, is the thing. It’s been a few months. Gosling says it wasn’t the attention that did it, but other than that he doesn’t really know what to say. “The only thing I remember is we both went down swingin’ and we called it a draw,” he says.

The Notebook people have taken it harder. “Women are mad at me,” Gosling says with a rueful smile. “A girl came up to me on the street and she almost smacked me. Like, ‘How could you? How could you let a girl like that go?’ I feel like I want to give people hugs, they seem so sad. Rachel and I should be the ones getting hugs! Instead, we’re consoling everybody else.”

The star of Wedding Crashers and The Notebook claims she was born in October 1978, making her 28. But imdb.com puts her birthday in 1976—and those who’ve looked into the matter believe the earlier date may be accurate.

In a November 2005 profile, Details listed McAdams’s age as 29, prompting her then-publicist, Ame Van Iden, to complain vigorously. (McAdams later fired Van Iden, reportedly because the flack booked her to appear nude on Vanity Fair’s cover without her consent.) A Details source says the magazine agreed to run a correction only after Van Iden assured them that IMDb had been notified of its error.

As of yesterday, however, the site was still listing her as 30. When Elle wrote McAdams up for its April cover, it got around the problem by saying, “IMDb states [she] is 30, but [she] is really, truly, ask her mother, 28.”

What’s the truth? “Her birthday is inaccurately reported,” says her rep. “She is 28 years old.” But a source involved with one of her recent films says it’s “no secret among the producers” that she shaves a couple years off her age in interviews—only to add them back on when she’s up for a part that calls for a more “mature” actress.

Wikipedia, for the record, lists her age as 28, but notes that “her exact year of birth is unknown. Some websites list it as 1976 and some websites list it as 1978. This means that she could be between the ages of 28 and 30.”

OMG. How is this such a problem? Someone went to kindergarten with her. Time to come out of the woodwork, people.

Eh, really, though, whether she’s 28 or 30, at least we can all agree that she’s old.
