Joel Madden and Nicole Richie appeared last night at the official launch of the Madden brother’s K-DCMA footwear line.  Nicole continues to look beautiful but I maintain my position that she’s getting scary skinny.

Also there, Benji Madden (of course!), Audrina Patridge and Tila Tequila. 

Do you think people in other countries laugh at us because Tila Tequila is considered famous here in the United States?  I knew that she liked to make out with chicks on TV but I just wiki’d her to educate myself on the back story of Tila.  Yeah, there really isn’t any.  She did release a book on December 2nd titled Hooking Up With Tila Tequila because she had so much advice to offer people.  Like, way more than could ever be typed out on a website.  “I can’t just write a blog on it, because it would be the size of a book.”  And it’s random but, a couple of years ago, she had a clothing line (!) with the slogan of “So hot you’ll just want to take it all off!”  How is it that tilafashion.com is out of business yet Lauren Conrad’s collection still limps along?

Miz Simpson-Wentz was all wrapped up in layers of black at the opening of Pete Wentz and Travis McCoy’s art exhibit at Gallery 1988 in WeHo. She also made damn sure the camera always caught her in profile — never face-on.

I guess I can appreciate her position — and it’s cool that she came out to support her hubby rather than hiding at home because she hadn’t yet lost the baby weight. But, seriously, Ash, you just had the baby like twenty seconds ago. If anyone dares to call you fat right now, I will personally bitch them out, and I’m a really mean blogger. Your “I’m fat because I had a baby” card is valid for at least a couple more months, sweetheart. Don’t sweat it.

Also there: Nicole Richie and Joel Madden. Nicole looks so much older lately. And I don’t mean that in a bad way. It’s not that she looks wrinkly or haggard or anything. It’s her eyes. There’s so much more maturity there these day. She looks peaceful for the first time since we were introduced to her. Nice to see.

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden appeared last night at the 2008 UNICEF Snowflake Lighting in Beverly Hills.  They actually look very much in love here and I’m happy to see that.  I was starting to wonder about these two.  Long engagements with vague time frames and pushed off wedding dates make me nervous.  In love, engaged, have money, have baby.  What’s the delay?  Let’s have a wedding!  Oh, and does anyone think Joel Madden is starting to get…better looking?

There have been a lot of “yes, we are still together” public display of affection sightings of Nicole and Joel in the past few days.  You know their happiness is making Paris just want to yank out her extensions right now.

Nicole looks pretty sensational (giving birth worked wonders for her rack) and I’m relieved to see her sans headband.  But I do wonder, is she headed back towards scary skinny?  She’s really thin.  Glowing and healthy for sure.  But thin.

Her best frenemy may have just dumped his brother, but all seems well in the world of Nicole and Joel. They looked very much the couple as they headed out to lunch on Wednesday.

Every time I see these two standing right next to each other, I’m just like, “Wow, he must be so short in real life.” I mean, I’ve never seen Joel in person, but I’ve seen Nicole, and she’s, like, 5-foot-nothing. I mean, tiny. And Benji — whose shoes have more lift than Nicole’s here — is really not that much taller than her. Not that there’s anything wrong with that — you just picture these rocker dudes to be so big, when he’s really probably a lot shorter than I am.

The teensy tiny Nicole Richie and Joel Madden enjoy a day out in WeHo. They went shopping for baby clothes for Harlow and then hit up Baja Fresh. Mmmm, I miss Baja Fresh. Do they have that shit in Seattle? If they do, I haven’t seen it. Baja Fresh was my favorite. What on earth do you think Nicole eats at Baja Fresh? The salsa?

Oh, H&M, how I love thee. Home of the $8 sweater and the $20 pair of jeans. Home of racks and racks of cheap clothing that would have looked positively awesome on me when I was 14, before I had breasts and hips and body fat to take into account.

So I’m thrilled to see celebs like Nicky Hilton and Nicole Richie and Mischa Barton show up to celebrate some manner of dumb holiday promotion at H&M, even though we all know that the outfit Nicole Richie is wearing right now retails for more than the entire second floor.
