Well yes it isn’t the morning…but I really haven’t been up for very long today so it counts in my mind.

I have to say I love iTunes free music downloads. It has given me some great music including miss Sara Bareilles. I just bought myself a ipod Shuffle and I kept having this song, “Love Song” come up and every time I was just thrilled.

It is bouncy, fun and perfect for summer. She has an awesome voice and I am a new fan. I usually hate posting live videos of songs because they rarely are better than their recorded versions. She rocks this out and is going to be a big star very soon. Enjoy “Love Song” by Sara Bareilles.

Hello friends. It’s been quite a bit since I’ve thrown some music your way, so here goes nothing. This is a lot more folksy than we usually feature.. but it’s one my favorite artists, Todd Snider. And it’s pretty mean spirited too, befitting of my moniker. So have a heart, eh?

If it helps at all I’ve seen Todd in concert and I’m fairly sure he’s insane.

One last thing, to be in on the joke note the name of the song.. it’s not just a tribute.

I hate to agree with PerezHilton who is all hot and bothered for Mika, but this time I have to. His song “Love Today” is such a fun bouncy song that makes you want to go frolic on a beach somewhere after having a few too many fruity cocktails. Love today y’all. The world is a great place. Britney is out of rehab, Linsday stole Stavros and Kim Kardashian is still not really famous.

Check out “Love Today” by Mika.

PS- I know it isn’t the morning, but think of me as that drunk roommate in college who would wake up at 3pm daily and want breakfast. K. Kisses, T

Right when I was graduating from high school I bought a Guster CD after seeing a video on VH1. Thankfully, they only really sold out that once and on the DL have been producing amazing tunes for over a decade that escape mainstream radio and TV play. I have been a big fan of this band ever since that first CD and also have gotten the chance to see them live about four times. If you haven’t seen them live you are missing out. The drummer plays his drums with his hands…it is kind of awesome to watch, espically after a few drinks. This song “Satellite” is another one of their super catchy tunes and the video is quite fun. If you haven’t checked out Guster yet, please do and you will be hooked.

Today I am featuring John Legend. He has created quite a lot of buzz in the past year and for some odd reason I never checked out his music. I recently downloaded this song, “Used to Love U” and I have been obsessed. A friend of mine invited me to his concert a couple summers ago and I think I was hungover so I passed. Now I am very upset. His voice is just pure sex and the beat to this song makes you want to get down and boogie. Yes. I said boogie, deal with it.
Sometimes also I hate posting live performances because they are lame…which is sad but true these days. He rocks this out live.
Enjoy.

Ok Lars is going to kill me for this but today’s song is “Over It” by Katherine McPhee. Her album didn’t really blow up the charts but I’m seriously digging this song. The video kind of looks like she is making her own solo sex tape but this song is too darn catchy. She really does have a great voice and if you need a good pop song today, give it a second look.

Also, since I am having a bouncy pop music moment, since our loyal reader Henry suggested I post this lovely tune here is the best song that Gwen Stefani has put out in a long time. I am really excited that she is finally recording another album with No Doubt since some of her solo stuff was getting a bit weird. If you haven’t downloaded “Sweet Escape” yet, please do. It is a must for a workout play list…just be careful that you don’t sing it on the treadmill. Some guy did that yesterday at my gym and it is really embarrassing.

So when I first heard of Lilly Allen I was like “uggs, another cheeky Brit Pop import that Perez is all hyped up about.” Last night I was having a late night iTunes extravaganza and I bought myself “Smile.” It has a fun little beat to it and even though Lilly Allen is about ten shades of crazy she is adorable in her own twisted kind of way. The video is also nasty and vindictive…in such a lovely way.

Today I am bringing it back a bit old school. This song “Back for Good” was my favorite pop song when I was in middle school. I found this little ditty when I was traveling through France with my mom and the only channel that was in English was MTV.

I heard this song again on the finale of “The Office” and it made me really happy. I hope you enjoy this. If you have never heard Take That before it is a lovely throwback to cheesy English pop music.

Go Colts. (that is totally unrelated by I had to put it in there)
Enjoy!
