Aaaaand this is how you know you’re too famous.

The paps followed Madonna all the way to her NYC gynecologist today. At least that’s what they claim. But then they say they had Lourdes hail her a cab before she’d leave the building. Ummmm, why was Lourdes with her at the gynecologist? Or were they both at the gynecologist for Lourdes’ appointment? Or what if they were in the building for a different and less funny reason? SO MANY QUESTIONS! But I will tell you this: I would rather have my vagina surgically removed than have my mother come to my gynecologist appointment with me. Just saying.

Madonna and her daughter Lourdes were n Malawi today for the groundbreaking ceremony at the site where Madonna is building a school she’s raised over fifteen million dollars for. The scene looked very hopeful and exciting for all involved, with the exception of Lourdes, who looked bored and maybe even a little embarrassed, hope that the girl might actually just be a normal teenager with an abnormal mother. I mean, doesn’t Lola look like her mom is dragging her along to a luncheon at the country club when she’d rather be at the mall with her girlfriends? There’s something refreshing about that teenage angst, I’ll tell ya.

If there’s one area in life that’s easier for celebrity children, it’s the confidence to walk out of the house wearing things that average teenage girls would never consider. We’ve seen it with Nicole Richie, Kelly Osbourne, Bruce and Demi’s girls, and of course, bourgeoning fashion icon, Lourdes Leon. It must take a serious set of cojones (metaphorical, of course) to walk out of the house lookin’ like this (and you should see what I just walked my dog in), but Lourdes does it all the time and with confidence. In fact, I think any day now she’s going to get mixed in with the commoners over at this blog.

Madonna and her family paid a visit to the Namitete Secondary School in Malawi on Monday to lend support to her Raising Malawi Foundation. She’s reportedly in Africa to finalize the adoption of yet another kiddo, this time a four-year-old girl.

This is all very interesting stuff, and I’m glad Madge is out there being useful and helping people, but I’ll tell you what really makes my heart soar: It appears as though Lourdes has waxed her eyebrows. I can’t be sure — it’s a strange view and I can’t find a better pic that I have rights to — but it looks as though she was finally brave enough to go into battle with The Unibrow. NOTHING could make me happier. I now feel way more confident about Madonna’s next adoption. I am less scared for this child, because she will not be thrown into a world with a new language, new food, new culture and LOURDES’ GIGANTIC UNIBROW.

PRAISE THE LOURDES!

Little Lourdes Leon appears to be following in the footsteps of her mother.  After turning down a part in The Secret Lives of Bees because Madonna didn’t want her in the biz so young, Lourdes has been enrolled in Manhattan’s Professional Children’s School. 

I really am looking forward to seeing if Lourdes has more talent than Madge; I think it’s a safe bet.  But do you know what I look forward to the most?  Her first facial waxing.

Neither Madonna nor Lourdes looked particularly happy as they left the Kabbalah center in NYC yesterday.

Madge’s age is starting to show.

That’s not necessarily a bad thing — and it’s kind of cool how she doesn’t seem to be ashamed of it, I mean, she’s not wearing inches upon inches of make-up, and I actually kind of dig that.

Her body’s still way better than mine’ll ever be.

With her mom in London preparing her divorce from Guy Ritchie, Lourdes is spending the summer in NYC with her papa, Carlos Leon.

Carlos reportedly lost his shit with the photogs just after this picture was taken. “I’ll see you alone one day!” he screamed at them. (Notes the photo agency: “He had just picked up Lourdes and was only photographed for about a minute before hailing a taxi.”)

Anyway, Lourdes is going to be such a strikingly beautiful young woman, if only someone would just tweeze her eyebrows. I swear to you Madonna is forcing her to keep that stupid unibrow if only because it’s a sure-fire way to keep the boys away.
