GSN has already cornered the market on documenting the events of Carnie Wilson’s ass and now Kirstie Alley has a show of her own. 

She’s going to be in a ten-episode series on A&E that will document her weight loss journey.  The last time I heard from Ellie Mae Clampett Kirstie (springtime), she was on Oprah — you know what a fan I am of Big O — and she said that she had a secret plan for weight loss.  A plan that she wasn’t willing to reveal, but one that would be effective.  Apparently, Alley’s plan hasn’t been working out and the Thetans have been unable to assist her efforts, so we are all going to be privy to Kirstie on a treadmill.  Joy.

Why can’t Kirstie shut the hell up about her weight, go get bi-sected and credit it to Pilates the way God intended?

Kirstie Alley showed up on Oprah this week to talk about how she gained back the 75 pounds she lost and then some: She replaced her home gym with a dining room a year and a half ago, and she hasn’t exercised since.

Well, that’ll do it. It’s so easy to be like, “Oooh, I have the body I want now, I don’t have to watch my diet and exercise anymore.” NOT TRUE. You gotta keep at it, or it’s gonna come back!!!

Good for Kirstie for being honest about her struggle and taking steps to get back into shape!

I haven’t listed to the radio in a while since I do not have a car in New York. Since I am in AZ, I was driving around listening to another annoying talk radio show. The subject was Kirstie Alley and if she was skinny enough to wear a bathing suit on TV and if she will gain back all of the weight she has lost. I think people should lay off. These guys were being awful on the radio. I just wanted to call in and see how many of these men calling in had man boobs and big beer guts. Yes, she was wearing control top pantyhose underneath her bathing suit. Yes, she is not 145 (I’m sorry, Rosie O’Donnell and I are in total agreement on this). Yes, she still is a bigger girl. But you know what? I am proud of her. We all at one point have let ourselves get a bit chubby. She took the weight off slowly which is the healthy way to do it. I have much more respect for her than skinny ass Nicole Richie or Kate Bosworth that obviously owe their skinny arms to a whole lot of blow.
So…go Kirstie Alley, shake it.

Going from “Fat Actress” to wearing a bikini on Oprah is quite a journey. I give her props for putting down the cheesecake and getting healthy. It is great to see somebody slim down without freaky surgery or endorsing dangerous diet pills.
