Isn’t Mady the drama queen child on Jon & Kate Plus 8?  I don’t have any personal experience in dealing with dramatic children, but I imagine that it would be difficult to handle.

Even so, I still have a little compassion for bratty children especially when they are dehydrated.  I feel so sorry for this kid as she asks her mother for water and Kate drinks water in front of her and then puts the bottle away.  No wonder these kids resent the cameras.  They’re thirsty!

Doesn’t this clip just show you a little bit of what type of mother Kate really is?  Just…mean.

If you’ve ever entertained the thought of trying to become famous, think about the Gosselins.  Their marriage is over, their parenting has been criticized and investigated, even their physical appearances are discussed on forums all over the Internet.

Now the Humane Society of Berks County is responding to complaints of animal cruelty.  People from all over the country have filed reports voicing concern that the many Gosselin children are too rough on their German Shepherd pups, Nala and Shoka.

Jon, who seems to busy to try and pull his marriage out of a ditch, released this statement:  “I’d like to set the record straight.  We understand the responsibilities of being good dog owners. Whenever my kids are with Shoka and Nala, everyone is carefully supervised to ensure that no one – dog or child – is injured. Shoka and Nala are loyal companions who we consider members of our family. We would never do anything to hurt them, and treat them with the respect and love that they deserve.”

Berks County confirms that the dogs are properly registered and vaccinated and they have no reason to believe that the animals are being hurt or abused.

Who are these people calling county officials to report these imagined infractions against the Gosselins?

This week Kate Gosselin and the sextuplets vacationed in Wilmington, North Carolina, swimming and playing on the beach under the watchfull eye of body guard and alleged side piece Steve Neild.

Meanwhile, Jon and the two older girls hung out 500 miles away, back home in Reading, PA. The trio rode ATVs, ate dinner, and went to see the Pixar flick Up. These separate vacations may be a good indication of things to come as the Gosselin family adjusts to family life in a household with separated parents.

TLC stirred up a little controversy surrounding the show this week when an affiliated production company posted a casting call on Craigslist:

“TLC is now looking for NY, NJ, and CT families who are expecting twins, triplets, or more! We would capture the birth of the babies and witness their amazing first breath, first cry, and all the emotions that go along with such an incredible occasion. TLC will be there as you leave the hospital and adjust to your first few days at home as a family.”

The post has since been taken down, but with the Gosselin marriage obviously drawing its final breaths, is TLC looking for a Jon and Kate replacement family? Should they be?

No no, I’m not talking about her husband canoodling with his 23-year-old girlfriend all over the tabloids — ladies, I am talking about yearbook photos. Every. Woman’s. Worst. Nightmare. Extra somehow got a hold of yearbook photos from Kate in high school and even — horror of horrors! — middle school. GASP! Kate was a cheerleader, in the photography club, drama club and also wrote for the newspaper.

OMG, you guys. This is a fate worse than death. I don’t even want to remember my middle-school yearbook photos. In fact, what I want to do now is find every copy of those yearbooks and get down to some serious arson. POOR KATE!

Ah, it’s the commentary we’ve all been waiting for.  Octo-Mom finally speaks out about what a totalfamewhore Kate Gosselin is.  There is nothing so ironic as one clown car uterus criticizing another clown car uterus.  You can see the video here and it’s really worth watching if only to see Octo say “Histreeeeooonic….histreeeeoooonic…..histreeeeooooonic.”  I’m more convinced than ever that Nadya Suleman’s best retort while under attack consists of some version of, “I know you are, but what am I?”

Octo-Mom is looking pretty good these days.  I can’t believe I’m saying that, but it’s true.

The State of Pennsylvania is investigating the Gosselins after receiving a complaint that the couple are violating the state’s child labor laws.

“I can confirm that our bureau of labor law compliance is conducting an investigation as they do whenever they receive a charge,” said Christopher Manlove, a spokesman for the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry.

Manlove would not say who filed the complaint, when it was filed or what the exact allegations are. “Because the case is ongoing I can’t discuss the content of the investigation,” he said.

In response to the investigation, TLC released a statement Friday saying, “TLC fully complies with all applicable laws and regulations.  Jon and Kate + 8 is no exception.  For an extended period of time, we have been engaged in cooperative discussions and supplied all requested information to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor.  We will continue to engage the appropriate officials and meet any standards or regulations that are applicable to TLC productions.”

The department is required to investigate every complaint that is filed, regardless of its apparent legitimacy.

I wonder who filed the complaint? Earlier in the week Aunti Jodi and Uncle Kevin told the Early Show that they thought the children were being “exploited” and “viewed as a commodity”.

Hmmm….

The never-stopping machine that is Kate Gosselin is at it again.  Her newest business venture is a cookbook titled “Love is in the Mix:  Making Meals Into Memories” that she has “written” that is due for release this October. 

Already, Kate is under harsh criticism for plagiarizing recipes.  Apparently, You can’t take the Chex party mix recipe off the side of the box, rename it Monkey Munch and call it your own.

Like I said the other day, I haven’t been a long-time J&K+8 fan, but I’ve seen enough episodes to know that Kate doesn’t really, um, cook.  I mean, if serving yogurt qualifies someone to write a cookbook, then I need a literary agent to get in touch with me right away.  Because I can actually heat chicken nuggets…the dinosaur shaped ones.

Now, I’m assuming the book has already gone to press but I’d like to submit a recipe to Kate, anyway.  Perhaps she could use it for the follow-up book that is probably already in the works.
