Kanye West spent a good deal of yesterday in jail after being arrested at LAX.

And, yet, his blog was updated normally all day.

Next thing I know you guys are going to tell me that Audrina Patridge doesn’t actually craft her own product placements blog entries, and that’ll just break my evil little heart.

Here’s the video of Kanye smashing some photog’s camera at LAX while the photographer calls for police assistance.

“Ain’t no police, man!” yells Kanye.

Um, he was wrong. The police arrested him shortly after, and he’s currently in jail pending $20K bail. Who the fuck says “Ain’t no police, man” at LAX??? I mean, have you been to LAX any time in the past, oh, exactly seven years? The cops practically outnumber the passengers. WTF was Kanye thinking??

I can’t wait to read his blog about this shit.

Kanye West was arrested today at LAX on suspicion of vandalism after an altercation with a photographer. They also arrested his bodyguard.

Apparently, before they went through airport security, they got a little rough with a photog and a camera worth more than $10K was broken.

After Donda West died during a cosmetic surgery procedure, the California State Senate on Wednesday approved a requirement that patients be given a physical exam before elective surgery.

Donda’s procedure was complicated by her coronary artery disease, which her family reportedly believes that a physical exam would have uncovered.

The vote in the Senate was 37 to 1.

Um, I guess I wasn’t aware that patients don’t have a physical exam before plastic surgery. That’s really kind of frightening to me. Doctors just do full-on surgery without first investigating if there are any pre-existing conditions that could complicate things? I mean, is this how most plastic surgeons operate, or just the shady ones?

The rap superstar has officially called it quits with his fiancee, fashion designer Alexis Phifer.

Sources close to Kanye say that he was the one who broke it off, saying “I just don’t think it is going to work out anymore.” He even asked for his ring back! Ouch!

The pair have been dating on and off since 2002. They got engaged in the fall of 2006.

Poor Kanye West.

Just a week after losing his beloved mother, the controversial rapper returned to the stage for a show in Paris, France, where he got emotional on stage.

Nearing the end of the more than 60-minute performance, with the riff of “Hey Mama” beginning, West attempted to introduce the tribute to a sold-out crowd at Le Zénith in Paris, saying “this song is for my mother….” and could get no further.

“He just cracked,” one attendee tells PEOPLE, “He was at the end of his concert and had just started to dedicate the song and then he just lost it completely.”

We haven’t been covering the Kanye-West’s-mom-died story around here, because when non-famous relatives of famous people die, I tend to think it shouldn’t be sensationalized, but, okay, when you die getting plastic surgery, you’re fair game.

Kanye West’s publicist announced that his 58-year-old mother died “as the result of complications from a cosmetic surgical procedure.”
