Proud Papa Joel Madden is blogging about the new addition to his family: Harlow Winter Kate Madden, born last Friday.

Well I am finally home with my beautiful girlfriend and our brand new little daughter. Harlow Winter Kate Madden was born on January 11th 2008 at 3:13pm. She weighed in at 6 pounds and 7 ounces. She is 19 inches long and growing everyday already! She really is a wonderful addition to the GC/DCMA/DEADEXEC family.We are so blessed to have this beautiful little baby in our lives.I want to thank everyone for all the love and kind words they’ve sentour way. We apologize we werent accepting and gifts/cards/calls at thehospital, but if you’d like to send something, we’d rather you make a donation to the richie-madden foundation, which we started in Harlow Winter’s honor. She looks so much like her mom its crazy! She eats like a little maniac and shes really sweet. She barely ever cries ,even when daddy is changing her diaper, and believe me i suck when it comes to diapers, but im learning! The couple’s rep confirms the birth of Harlow Winter Kate Madden, born Friday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, weighing 6 lbs., 7 oz.

“The beautiful healthy baby girl left the hospital with her ecstatic parents,” says the rep.

Congrats to Nicole and Joel!

Joel Madden was spotted walking into the delivery area of L.A.’s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

He was overheard saying, “She’s going to start pushing soon.”

Bro Benji is also there.

Yay, now that the baby’s out of her, Nicole can go back to doing cocaine and tequila shots.

Bring on the crazy!!!

Joel Madden’s big bro spilled the beans: Nicole is due sometime in the next week.

“That’s all we know,” he said. “We don’t know what [gender] it is. We don’t know any names. I’m being completely honest, I swear!”

Joel Madden and Nicole Richie launched the Richie-Madden Children’s Foundation in Los Angeles this afternoon.

The Richie Madden Children’s Foundation will create and promote an online registry to inspire the purchases of items for moms and their families in need. Anyone in the country will be able to buy from the registry. The registry link will live on the Richie Madden Children’s Foundation website for at least six months and will be updated regularly based on the needs of the LA Free Clinic and other participating clinics.

If that registry exists right now, I can’t find it.

Nicole adds that she doesn’t know the sex of the baby, mostly at the request of Joel Madden. “If he wasn’t at every doctor’s appointment, I probably would have found out by now just behind his back and not told him,” she says.

Everyone in Hollywood is being super helpful for the Hollywood season.

Nicole Richie will donate all the gifts from her recent baby shower to charity.

Nicole will donate baby gifts to 100 expectant families in need through the newly-formed Richie Madden Foundation through the Los Angeles Free Clinic.

Man. That was a really weird few months. But now that all 82 minutes of her jail stay are behind her, Nicole Richie seems once again to have warmed to her old pals, the paparazzi.

A preggers Nicole and her rumored fiance Joel Madden just happened to be posing adorably in Central Park when some photogs wandered by. What a coincidence!

Also: it looks to me like Nicole roots are dyed again. She let them go for awhile — we all figured it was because hair dye isn’t recommended for pregnant women — but I guess now that she doesn’t have to look like a responsible mom-to-be to avoid jail time, she’s back to focusing on being a hot mom-to-be.
