Hello all. I apologize for the total lack of posts this afternoon. Wendie has the rest of the day off, which should have been just fine, except a lovely red truck ran a stop sign and plowed into the side of my car a couple hours ago. Thank God, I was wearing my seatbelt, and the airbags deployed, and I walked away without a scratch (the same can not be said for my precious car). The body shop says my car will have to live with them for three weeks (????) and no one in this city has rental cars available right now. Like every rental place in a 10-mile radius is out of cars. So whatever. Kind of a pain in the ass, but right now I’m just exceedingly grateful that I’m okay, and it’s just another really important reminder to WEAR A SEATBELT ALWAYS. This would have been a very different story had I not been buckled up.

Another reason I’m grateful? I’m not Jason Wahler today. The Hills star got sober after his 2007 arrest, but apparently it didn’t stick, as he got himself arrested for battery and public intoxication on Friday night.

According to law enforcement sources, Wahler got into a scuffle with a bouncer at the Ocean Avenue Brewery and eventually got himself ejected.

Somehow Wahler made his way back inside, cops said, and the bouncers had to toss him out again.

But here’s the best part: Witnesses say a frustrated Wahler then removed his shoes and fired them into the bar — and when security came out to remove him permanently, Jason allegedly threw a punch.

Cops soon arrived on scene and arrested the reality reject for battery and public intoxication.

Wahler still had 11 days left on his probation stemming from a drunken, racist, homophobic, violent tirade back in 2007– which means he’s gonna get in even more trouble if convicted.

And you better believe he’s getting convicted, and probably going to jail. I bet him former fiance, Katja Decker-Sadowski, who ended their engagement in February, is delighted to have dodged this bullet. You can’t drink, Jason. Not ever. Because this shit is gonna happen every single time. Do you get it now?

The Hills star Jason Wahler has called off his engagement to his 21-year-old fiancee, Katya Decker-Sadowski, but he calls it an “amicable split.”

Jason is now shopping a reality show called Jason and the Cougars.

Wow, so he dumps his super-young fiance, and now wants to be back in the spotlight by dating much older women? Super, super classy, dude.

Remember these two crazy kids?

Yes, it’s Jason Wahler and his fiancee, Katia Decker, at some Z-list event in Hollywood. Seriously. They were like the biggest names there. Even Kristen Cavallari didn’t bother showing up.

Give it up, you guys. Go gently into that good night.

I actually feel bad for the guy. He got sober, cleaned his act up, and worked things out with Lauren.

But the law’s the law, and Jason’s paying the price for his April arrest in Seattle. He was sentenced to 30 days, but will probably only do 20 of them.

Says his rep:

“He has been through rehabilitation, done community service and has been attending AA meetings. He would like to be an example to young people to make them realize that there are consequences for bad behavior. He is making amends and looks forward to continuing success in his career.”

I can’t wait to watch this shit go down on The Hills!

I hope Ryan Seacrest is on The Hills payroll. It’s, like, when most people in Hollywood want to issue a statement, they go to their publicist. When these kids want to get a message out, they go to KISS-FM.

“The whole thing that Heidi [Montag] and Spencer [Pratt] said about the tape thing, it’s just so annoying,” Jason told Ryan on Wednesday. “They just need to shut up … The most frustrating part is that they are such lowlifes that they have to come up with stuff to try and ruin other people. It’s just frustrating.”

WOO HOO! Well said, my man!

TMZ is reporting that Jason Wahler is engaged to his girlfriend Katja Decker-Sadowski, a USC tennis player (ooh, check her out here). Katja got hooked up with a four carat ring, or around 12x what Heidi received from that jerk-off Spencer.

I believe the official position of the Beet is that this Jason fellow is a “huge douchebag” and I will stick with that though of course I wish him and his rehab / fiancée all the luck in the world!

The Hills is coming back, kids, and I can’t wait!!!

So I was never a big fan of the Jason Wahler during his time on “The Hills.” He seemed like a huge doucebag but I really have to say I respect that he realizes that rehab is serious business.

After two arrests for assault when he was under the influence Jason realized that he needed to beat his addiction with a serious treatment program.

Instead of a place like Promises where they let you gallavant around LA and still keep your name in the papers, Jason went to Chapman house which was a quiet rigorous inpatient program near his family’s home in the OC.

Britney and Lindsay should take note. Rehab is serious business kiddos.

Rehab is the new Hyde. (Actually, I think Winston’s is the new Hyde, so maybe rehab is the new Winston’s? It’s hard to do this when the hot club changes every month.) The latest “celeb” to check in to a facility is The Hills‘ Jason Wahler, who’s really had quite a run this year. LC’s ex was sentenced to rehab instead of jail for his September 2006 arrest (that’s the one where he was in a physical altercation with a tow-truck driver). However, he still faces possible jail time for his April arrest in Seattle (that’s the one where he punched some dude in the lobby of his hotel).

“He’s doing well, and he’s going to be a new man,” says a relative. While I certainly wish him the best, I’ll believe this “success story” when he goes six months without another arrest (Jason has been arrested four times in the past year).

Jason Wahler ruins everything. The Lauren Conrad/Jason Wahler sex tape that I wanted to see oh-so-badly will not be released by SugarDVD, supposedly because the company doesn’t want to be cutting checks to Wahler after he managed to decorate his most recent arrest with a slew of racist, homophobic slurs. “We refuse to support any person who feels that it is in any way acceptable to rattle off racial slurs and slanderous language about African-American people, homosexual people and the police department,” says a rep for SugarDVD, who had previously offered $500K for the tape.

Is the porn industry sporting a heart-on? Eh, possibly. But my guess? Rumor has it the tape wasn’t anywhere near as raunchy as reported, with basically no hard-core sex. PG-13 at best. SugarDVD probably realized it wasn’t worth the $500K plus marketing costs (they’d made the offer sight-unseen) and were looking for a way to back out of the deal without losing future credibility. Whatever. I still wanted to see it. Stupid Jason Wahler. You should have gone to Paris, Lauren.

I’d make this headline “Jason Wahler Arrested (Again),” but, see, I already did that. On March 5 of this year, I ran the headline “Jason Wahler Arrested Once Again,” a minor deviation from the headline I ran in late September of last year, “Jason Wahler Arrested … Again.” I’m just going to leave the “Again” part out this time and trust that you folks have already noticed the pattern.

Jason Wahler was arrested this weekend, for the fourth time in nine months, this time in Seattle. Maybe being in Sanjaya’s hometown got him all riled up. Wahler was picked up just after 2 a.m. on Sunday for criminal trespassing and assault. Basically, he punched some guy in the lobby of his hotel. And just in case that alone wasn’t going to make the papers, Wahler opted to call the arresting officer a slew of racist and homophobic terms I don’t feel particularly comfortable repeating here, but which you can read for yourself in the incident report. Let’s just say the guy gave Mel Gibson a run for his money. He was booked at King County Jail and released about nine hours later.

This arrest comes, of course, on the heels of rumors that Wahler made a sex tape with his former Hills co-star, Lauren Conrad, and is threatening to release it before he goes to jail for his September arrest. Conrad has denied the existence of such a tape, but there’s been no comment from Wahler’s camp, most likely because they can’t find the time to issue press releases when all their time is spent bailing their client out of jail.
