Did you guys watch the House season premiere on Monday night? I know I did, and it looks like about 16.5 million other people did the same. Hugh Laurie (sans the rest of his crew) ruled the first night back for the networks, drowning Heroes and Dancing with the Stars in lower-than-expected numbers. The competition also seemed to impact Jay Leno’s show, which brought in roughly one-third of its week-earlier premiere-night numbers, and posting its lowest ratings so far.

Soooo, what did you guys think of the House premiere? I liked it, I guess, but I wasn’t as excited about it AFTER I watched it as I was before. I felt a lot of the psych-ward situations and dialogue were implausible, and I felt it dragged a bit. Plus, House just isn’t as fun without his team around him. It made me realize how much of an ensemble drama the show really is. It just didn’t work right without the rest of the cast. Luckily, they’ll all be back next week, and I’ll definitely be tuning in again. We’ll see if the rest of the country does the same.

Sunday’s Monsters vs Aliens premiere was a veritable who’s who of people you’re not supposed to be attracted to, but probably are.
There were a few who walked the red (or rather, blue) carpet that would be considered mainstream-acceptably hot (Kiefer Sutherland, Paul Rudd, Reese Witherspoon). But there were just as many celebrities about whom many of you have probably had the occasional raunchy dream, but were too embarrassed to tell anyone. I can tell you from my own dreams that Seth Rogen is very gentle and Hugh Laurie’s beard tickles. Rainn Wilson and Jack Black are on a few of your lists, I’m sure. Hell, maybe some of you are even attracted to that big, blue, animated blob.

Personally,  I love Reese’s dress. But I can also see how some people would think it looks like scraps of Christmas wrapping paper sewn together.

Hugh Laurie, the super-sexy star of House, recently had his home robbed.

HOUSE star HUGH LAURIE has been left “unnerved” after his Los Angeles home was ransacked by thieves.

The British actor had his laptop and a number of other personal items taken in the raid on his new $4 million (GBP2.2 million) Hollywood Hills mansion earlier this month (Sep08).

Laurie, who relocated to the U.S. in 2004 after landing the role of Dr. Gregory House in the hit medical drama, and his wife Jo were asleep when his house was targeted. No one was harmed in the break-in.
Laurie, 49, revealed the news of the burglary after arriving late for a U.S. TV interview to promote the forthcoming series of House.

After apologising to the TV crew, he said, “We were in bed when it (the burglary) happened. I came down this morning and said, ‘Where’s the laptop?’ Then we realised.”

The star is the latest celebrity in the area to fall victim to burglars – it is believed the same group of thieves are responsible for raids at the homes of singer Faith Hill and her husband Tim MCGraw, and movie studio boss Sherry Lansing, who all live nearby.

A police source says, “The raid on Hugh Laurie was very similar to ones we have been investigating in that area. It is lucky that he did not disturb the burglars or we could have been looking at something much more serious.”

You know, I read this several times, and I just kept thinking the same things over and over again:

1) He’s married??? That bastard!!!! and
2) I wonder if there was a sex tape on that laptop.
