Emmy Emmy…did you rip up your tutu from “Phantom of the Opera” and make your own dress for the party? No? Well it looks like you did. For a girl who usually has great style this dress is way to much. I could deal with a little fluffy on the top or a little on the bottom but together it really overwhelms her small frame. Also, I have an idea why we never see her knees. All together her look just failed.

Beyonce decided to show her support for the troops by wearing a zip up hoodie without pants. That is really all I have to say about this. Also, whoever did her hair seemed to be working with the theme of “poodle.”

Fashion Stars of Oscar Night

Here at T’s Favorite’s for Oscar Gowns:

1) Penelope Cruz- Her strapless Versace dress took my breath away every time the camera panned to her. The pale pink looked gorgeous against her skin and it made a bold statement without looking like she should be standing on a wedding cake. She accented the dress with perfect hair and was luminous tonight.

2) Cate Blanchett- This dress was one of my favorites because it really captured what the Oscars are all about…sparkle sparkle sparkle!!! This Giorgio Armani Prive gown fit her perfectly and moved so beautifully on stage. She really is a gorgeous woman and is lucky every year to be given amazingly beautiful and interesting dresses to wear on the red carpet.

3) Helen Mirren- Helen Mirren was one of the hottest women at the Oscars tonight and she is 62. Honestly, for a woman of a certain age she really has quite the cleavage and this dress showed off her body without being inappropriate. Like the classy woman she is she was able to balance a conservative silhouette with a plunging neckline and it was a dress fit for an Oscar winner. I also love that she had simple hair and beautiful make-up that really gave her a youthful glow without trying too hard.

4) Reese Witherspoon- Showing that divorce is still sexy, Reese Witherspoon stepped out in a strapless deep purple Nina Ricci gown. Newly svelte, Reese has made smart choices wearing dresses that accent her small waist. She did a great job glamming up her look with long stick straight blond tresses which looked a bit harsh on Nicole Kidman but worked beautifully with her overall look. She was understated and very grown up. She is an A-lister now and finally dressed the part tonight.

5) Abigail Breslin- This little girl was the cutest thing I’ve ever seen tonight. I thought her dress was adorable and thankfully very age-appropriate. Dakota Fanning watch out…I loved the flower detailing and she accessorised the best way possible, with a lovely smile.

Well well well…Liz Hurley didn’t think I would ever have to write about you. Now this outfit would be ok maybe on a 16 year-old but not a fashion icon. If you are over 35 there are things that you should not wear. I know the whole boots over jeans thing is cute but it isn’t very pulled together or classy if you are a woman who keeps boasting that she is having a wedding “fit for a princess.” Leather isn’t meant to be purple. When you start wearing leather in shades of purple you are officially headed into Forever 21 land…and that is only a place for girls going out to clubs with a disco ball, fist pumping and $1 blow job shots.

Brooke Hogan I have stayed away from making fun of you this year so far but this dress was a disaster. Brooke is known for wearing too little clothing on the red carpet and even though this dress was a bit of an improvement it really did not work.

If you are going to wear a super-tight gown DO NOT make it satin. Satin should never tug and whoever fit this dress to poor Brooke should be forced to wear a pair of satin shorts for the next month. Brooke has a nice figure but this makes her took like she has a tummy.

Also Brooke darling, X-Tina called, she wants her look back.

Wow. There aren’t a lot of things I really need to say about this…I feel as though this outfit speaks for itself. Nobody should wear colored tights, I don’t care how long your legs are. Really you need to pair this cute dress maybe with cute boots…it is WINTER Joss Stone. I love how she is trying to sex it up now that she has a new album coming out. If sexing it up means looking like a slutty high school senior at Seth’s Crazy Halloween Bash 1994 then she succeeded. What frightens me the most about this outfit was that she actually wore it to Marc Jacobs fashion show.

Matronly anybody? I don’t understand why you would want to kick your butt to be a skinny starlet and then wear a big black sack that is essentially strangling your boobs. I know Anne Hathaway wanted to look like a serious actress but she just came off as looking a bit doudy and toothy. That whole multi-tier dress thing doesn’t really work for anybody. Black is slimming but unfortuneatly not in this case. Lets try some color and cleavage next time darling.

Dude, I’d be depressed if I was wearing an orange jumper too. Can we please talk about those shoes? Mandy, you are a young woman. I know that you are really mature for your age but that doesn’t mean that you can wear granny shoes. I know it is cold in Sundance but the “Frigid Bitch” look is so 2002.
