Justin Long was supposed to make an appearance in Whip It!, Drew Barrymore’s directorial debut, but he’s apparently dropped out of the flick since the couple split.

“He couldn’t stand working with her and not being with her,” says a source. “He’s too upset. She dumped him. She was hot and cold. One minute she was in love with him and the next she wanted to break up with him. He is so distraught over the split that he dropped out of the movie.”

A rep for the production company would not confirm that Justin was ever on board, saying that “it’s bordering on his personal life.”

Something tells me there’s more to this story …

First off: don’t shoot the messenger.

I know you all love Drew.

I love Drew, too.

But this is my job. And I love my job.

Since the twice-rehabbed Drew’s split from Justin Long, all sorts of stories have surfaced, in a variety of publications, implying that her drinking has been out of control, and that her alcohol problem contributed to her split from Justin Long.

Drew is currently in Michigan working on her directorial debut, Whip It, starring Ellen Page. Perhaps the pressure of directing combined with the stress of the break-up has just been too much for her, because now sources are reporting to Evil Beet exclusively that Drew’s been hitting more than the bottle. On-set lackies have allegedly caught her snorting some of the white stuff. Not Pixie Stix. Use your imagination.

Additionally, sources report that Drew’s been receiving tons of phone calls from Justin, but she refuses to talk to him. After getting tired of screening his calls herself, Drew handed her cell to an assistant on set and said “Make sure his calls don’t get through.”

Aw, this doesn’t sound good at all. I hope Drew’s okay!

But I love Drew, and I’m always rooting for her, and she seems happy with Justin, so that’s good.

Personally, I don’t think he’s all that cute, but, if he makes Drew happy, it’s all good.

According to the Daily News, Drew Barrymore — whose production partner just got engaged to Jimmy Fallon — may have found a love interest of her own.

Barrymore hit up Jet nightclub in Las Vegas, along with BFF Cameron Diaz and Live Free or Die Hard hottie Justin Long. Drew and Justin “got cozy and made out in a corner table,” says a source.

Summer makes people do the craziest things. For starters, Zach Braff is dating someone his own age. After splitting from 23-year-old Mandy Moore earlier this year and spending the intervening months dating anything younger than her, the Scrubs star appears to be settling down with none other than Drew Barrymore. The two have been having a magical NYC summer, says Page Six, noting that “the lovebirds held hands strolling down Lafayette Street and that night made out at Beauty Bar.”

Braff and Barrymore’s same-age love hasn’t set any example for celebuspawn Kim Stewart, whose 62-year-old rocker dad just married a 36-year-old model. She’s been spotted around L.A. with Pamela Anderson’s ex, 44-year-old Tommy Lee. According to Page Six:

They met in London several months ago and are now dating. At last week’s opening of Pink Taco in L.A., Stewart was seen running out to Lee when he was denied entry after the fire department shut the party down. Our spy said, “They threw their arms around each other and she started saying, ‘Baby, baby,’ before kissing and leaving.”

Now all that’s left for the summer is for a much older woman to begin dating a younger man. Sharon Stone and Shia LeBoeuf, anyone?

AP NEW YORK - She was born with her acting family’s classic beauty, but Drew Barrymore credits her fun-loving approach to life for her No. 1 spot on People magazine’s annual “100 Most Beautiful People” list.

I don’t know about this choice. I’m not saying she’s not cute, or attractive. But I’ve never seen her and thought “wow. she’s stunning.” And if you’re going to be named “most beautiful” you can’t have ever been married to Tom Green. You just can’t have.

I want to knock Biel here but I can’t. She absolutely right. She’s truly beautiful (in the eye of this beholder). I wouldn’t care if she wore makeup, I wouldn’t care if she wore overalls everywhere (Actually, come to think of it, I quite like overalls on a gal). I pray that one day I can interview her and mention that Summer Catch made me re-hit puberty.

Okay, this blog just got pretty boyish, but you guys had Clooney last year so forgive my foray into Maxim-ness.

Lastly, I’ve got to point out that this list of 50 seems to be made up of an awful lot of people in the entertainment industry. And most of them are American or European. I’m not sure People has done an exhaustive search, surely there’s a school teacher in Africa who’s unbelievably stunning.
