Chris Brown has his day in court today.  And he needs to actually appear.  Unless a deal is struck.  Whaaaat?

Yep, Brown’s attorney-Mark Geragos, has been in downtown LA this week meeting with the DA assigned to this case.  The two have been meeting in hopes of coming to a compromise with the charges against Chris.  How do you think this will go?  He could be charged with a felony.  That would mean jail if he was found guilty.  He could plead guilty to a misdemeanor; he would take some classes, do some community service and be done.  Or he could plead guilty to a felony, but if he stays out of trouble for a year, charges could be down-graded to a misdemeanor level.

I’m not going to freak my freak until we see what actually happens.  Prosecutors do often pursue domestic violence cases even when the victim is unwilling to testify.  The pictures of Rihanna should be evidence enough!  But, if a deal is cut, what message does this send?  Okay, okay, I’m keeping my cynicism at bay and hoping for the best.

Chris Brown is scheduled for arraignment in an LA court on Thursday!

The police have reportedly wrapped up their investigation and turned the matter over to the DA’s office, although some sources disagree.

“The District Attorney does have the case,” LAPD media spokesman Richard French told the Daily News.

Prosecutors, however, said they haven’t seen anything yet.

“It’s not true. There’s been no meeting, no new information,” said DA spokeswoman Jane Robison.

DUDE. I don’t care who does what, just PUT HIS ASS IN JAIL!

Listen, this Chris Brown and Rihanna deal is played out at this point.  There are only so many ways to say it:  Chris is a scum.  Rihanna needs to run.  End of story.  But…

Who are these PR people Chris hired to help salvage his reputation?  Because they need to be fired, yesterday.  The half-assed non-statment, the phallic jet-skiing poses, the reconciliation with Rihanna-any decent public relations firm would not be letting this shit happen.  The only element that gives me a small sigh of relief is that Brown was not seen partying this weekend; it was a look-alike.  Poor bastard, being a Chris Brown ringer.

Chris is not only working to win back his victim, he is also in Miami recording for his newest album which, I suspect, will have anorexic airplay.

If Chris Brown was some anonymous warehouse worker, is there any doubt he would be in jail right now?

I know that by now you’ve been inundated with the ‘Chris Brown vs Rihanna vs the World’ controversy, but this kid keeps making an ass of himself. He’s out partying, showing absolutely no signs of remorse, and just generally being an asshole. 

He stepped out in Miami to attend a party being thrown by Young Jeezy  in the Gansevoort South hotel. Rihanna was nowhere to be found.

 

“He walked in and didn’t try to hide,” an eyewitness told RadarOnline.com. “Some people looked shocked he was there and he seemed to love the attention.”

He hung out at the pool until around 7:30 p.m. and no mention of Rihanna was made near him.

 

I don’t care if you didn’t sign up to be a role model – I believe that people need to pay more attention to raising their own kids, and less to what celebs are doing. But how much of a douchetard does one have to be to NOT understand that going out in public (to a PARTY no less) is just in bad taste -especially when details about blood being found in the car where you brutalized your girlfriend are being leaked to the press?

Chris Brown was spotted jet-skiing in Miami this weekend, smiling and flexing.

No Rihanna in sight, although she’s rumored to be there with him. At least they weren’t dumb enough to be photographed together yet.

I used to really like Chris Brown. Now I can’t believe how nauseated I am by him. He still hasn’t issued a formal apology, or made any statement to indicate the seriousness of domestic violence, and now he’s grinning on a jet ski?

This is in such poor taste, dude.

You can buy all the jet skis and necklaces and watches on the planet, Chris. You can’t buy class, and it’s obvious you’re now the same human scum as the man who used to kick your mom’s ass while you were growing up in Shitsville, Virginia. You clearly lack the strength to break the cycle, coward.

I suppose this is as unsurprising as it is upsetting.

People magazine is reporting that Chris Brown and Rihanna have reconciled, and are currently holed up at one of Diddy’s homes.

I know what you’re thinking: Diddy probably lent them that place so he could have his bodyguards hold Chris down while Rihanna kneed him in the balls repeatedly. Right?

Nope.

“They’re together again. They care for each other,” says a source. “While Chris is reflective and saddened about what happened, he is really happy to be with the woman he loves.”

If this is true, Rihanna, SHAME ON YOU. The eyes of the world’s young women are turned to you right now, and what do you do? Run back to the man who beat you? I don’t care how young you are or what you’re a victim of, this is your life, this is your decision, and it is reprehensible. The example you’re setting for women everywhere is nauseating. Shame, shame, shame. Get your act together, girl. This isn’t a pattern you want to set for your life, and it is not a message you want to send to your fans.

Photogs snapped some rare shots of Rihanna on the beach in Punta Mita, where she’s been staying with some close friends.

While you can’t see any of the bruising from the beating she sustained several weeks ago, the paparazzi said Rihanna looked sad in all their photos. No surprise there.

Meanwhile, Chris Brown remains in hiding, although it’s rumored that he’s begun taking anger management classes.

I’m glad Rihanna is at least out and about and spending time with her friends. It’s obviously going to be a long healing process, but we’re behind you 100%, girl!!!
