Things are getting back to normal for Britney Spears.  Dad Jamie has asked the courts to review the conservatorship when her tour ends in November.  I suspect that “Daddy is in control” was one of the major clauses that concert promoters insisted upon when scheduling the “Circus”  tour.   Though Spears Sr. cannot actually request for the conservatorship to be dissolved, it looks like he’s hoping that it will be so that Britney can get back to the business of being a normal, decision-making 27-year-old. 

Now that things are settling down with Brit, Kevin Federline is in talks, maybe with VH1, to star in a reality show with his girlfriend Victoria Prince (perhaps Sean Preston and Jayden James as well).  Back in 2008, K-Fed had been approached about a reality show but scrapped the plans because of the struggles that Britney was experiencing.  Kevin’s girlfriend takes online college classes and basically gave up her whole life to move in with K — hard to believe, isn’t it?  According to reports, the relationship between the gal who once had promise and the dude who never showed promise will be a main focus of the show.

I hope this isn’t true, but according to new reports, Britney was caught by her conserva-dad popping pills and washing them down with Red Bull.  A source said, “Britney was definitely trying to get high by taking too many diet pills and energy drinks.  Jamie thinks the combination of the two is making her whacked-out and, causing her to lash out in weird angry rampages.  Britney uses green-tea supplements, [Lab 88’s herbal ephedra-free] Metabo Speed XXX, Dexatrim and apple cider vinegar to control her weight and energy levels. She also pours those 5-Hour energy drinks into her Red Bulls.”

Oh, Brit.  I hope you can get better for yourself and your kids.  Please don’t turn into the next MJ!

Brit spent some time with her sons Jayden James and Sean Preston in Paris, France yesterday.  I don’t know what it is but with the brunette hair and the boob almost popping out of her shirt as she strolled under the Eiffel Tower reminds me of old crazy Britney.  Let’s hope it’s just the dye job that’s throwing me off.

The kids are cute but that nanny in the background looks like whatever they’re paying her isn’t enough.

I like the new brunette look, but it’s not exactly “iconic” Britney Spears. What do you think?

I watched this video about a year ago and I was thinking how sad it was to watch video of Brit back when she was really on top of her game.  I remember thinking she was too far gone.

Now she’s on her way back and Michael is gone.  It’s surreal.

Britney Spears went shopping in Beverly Hills today.  Um, isn’t it summertime in California?  It isn’t in Massachusetts but I’m pretty sure it’s not snowing on the west coast, so please help me to understand why she’s wearing winter boots.  Is this some sort of updated Ugg (I like to call them Ughs) thing?

Anyway, Brit looks great.  In shape, very blonde, very tan.  Have you ever noticed that if you look close enough you can find a mark or stain in almost every candid, on-the street picture of Brit?  Stains and tacky manicures — they’re her trademarks.

Three days ago, Star Magazine released an article claiming that Britney Spears became engaged to her agent, Jason Trawick, last month while the two vacationed in the Bahamas together.

“He didn’t exactly get down on one knee, but Brit didn’t care. She said yes, and they opened a bottle of champagne to celebrate,” says an insider. “Jason held Britney for a long time and kissed her cheeks. They talked about their future for hours and didn’t go to sleep until after 3 a.m.! They just wanted to be alone together.”

The article goes on to say that Britney is planning to wed in December when her Circus tour wraps, and  wants the wedding to look like a “fairytale”, not “trashy” like her previous two trips down the aisle.

Yesterday, People Magazine released an article refuting the rumors of engagement. Their source claims there is “no truth to it at all,” and “Britney is not engaged.”

So I guess you just have to compare and decide for yourself which magazine has more reputable reporting: Star or People? Which is a bit like comparing the relative safety levels of unprotected sex on an airplane that is crashing into a pile of white supremacist Ebola cobras and…. knitting.
