A spokesperson for Petit Tresor is reporting that teen mom Jamie-Lynn Spears wanted to give Bristol Palin a little support while she’s taking heat these days.

The 17-year-old “Zoey 101” star and new mom sent a gift of $60 pink burp cloths to the pregnant, unwed, 17-year-old daughter of vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin — and along with it, a message of teen mom solidarity.

A spokesperson for Petit Tresor, the Los Angeles baby boutique from which the gift was bought, told ABCNews.com that Spears included a card with the package that read “Dear Bristol, Hang in there! XXOO, Jamie Lynn Spears.”

Spears’ rep did not confirm the story, but didn’t deny it either.

You guys think this is true?

Ya know, this is the problem with pulling a VP candidate out of thin fucking air. I mean, choosing a chick who touts family values after being the mayor of a town with a population under 10,000 before putting in a year and a half as the governor of a state with less than a million people: her kids don’t know early enough to cover their asses.

I’ve been watching the news all morning, like everyone else – and i keep hearing about the issues related to ‘teen pregnancy’- It’s all related to Sarah Palin and her 17 year old unmarried pregnant daughter. Well, I think the real problem comes from the fact that we are taking the focus off of getting to know Sarah Palin and her political views, and what she can do to make our country a less destructive place. Its distracting from the real issues, the real everyday problems that this country experiences.

I am concerned with the fact that Sarah Palin brought the attention to her daughter’s pregnancy, rather than all world issues and what she believes she could possibly do to change them-if elected. I get Sarah Palin’s views against abortion, but i would much prefer to hear more about what she can do for our country rather than how her daughter is going to have a child no matter what.

Maybe focus on delivering some words and policy with stronger impact like Joe Biden.

MONROE, Michigan (CNN) — Sen. Barack Obama said firmly that families are off-limits in the campaign for president, reacting to news that GOP running mate Sarah Palin’s 17-year-old daughter is pregnant.

“Let me be as clear as possible,” Obama said. “I think people’s families are off-limits, and people’s children are especially off-limits. This shouldn’t be part of our politics. It has no relevance to Gov. Palin’s performance as governor or her potential performance as a vice president.”

Obama said reporters should “back off these kinds of stories” and noted that he was born to an 18-year-old mother.

“How a family deals with issues and teenage children, that shouldn’t be the topic of our politics, and I hope that anybody who is supporting me understands that’s off-limits.” »

On another note-the last note- i heard a woman say on TODAY on NBC that teens are feeling as if they have to grow up faster. Really? Because, i think that girls that are CHOOSING to be sexually active and are making a conscious decision to grow up faster….. I think that parents need to recognize how important it is to talk to their children about the things that can result from being sexually active if they aren’t protecting themselves (birth control, condoms, etc.)

Despite rumors that Sarah Palin’s youngest child is actually her grandchild, Sarah Palin today admitted that her 17-year-old unwed daughter, Bristol, is five months preggers.

“Our beautiful daughter Bristol came to us with news that as parents we knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned. We’re proud of Bristol’s decision to have her baby and even prouder to become grandparents. Bristol and the young man she will marry are going to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child, which is why they will have the love and support of our entire family,” they added.

Um, anyone know this girl’s birthday?

Was she technically sixteen when she got knocked up?

Look how well your abstinence-only model of sex education worked out, governor!

And now you’re forcing her to marry this dude to save some face? How very progressive of you. I’m sure little Bristol is having no second thoughts about that. That kind of thinking is exactly why Hillary’s supporters wanted a woman in the White House. Jesus.

Anyway, congratulations to Bristol and good luck with all this.

There are very few things that can get me genuinely interested in anything political. In fact, I had previously believed that there was nothing that could get me genuinely interested in anything political. This year, however, has proven me wrong. There are two things, at last count, that can get me genuinely interested in politics: hookers and teen pregnancies.

Since the Eliot Spitzer scandal has died down, I am now thoroughly obsessed with Sarah Palin’s 16-year-old daughter, Bristol, and the child it is becoming increasingly clear she gave birth to, and that her mother claimed as her own to protect her political career. It doesn’t do a lot of good to champion an abstinence-before-marriage platform when your own unwed teen’s knocked up. (But, you know, that’s what fucking happens when we refuse to give our teenagers useful information about and support for their sexuality, but whatever, I’ll back off that rant for now. I have a feeling there will be plenty of time for it later.)

This link has a ton of photos of Sarah Palin just a month or two before she “gave birth” — she doesn’t look preggers at all. They also offer tons of other evidence to support their point — including the fact that, after going into labor, Sarah traveled for hours (on an airplane!) to “give birth” in a remote hospital in her home town, even though the baby was a month premature. Additionally, at the same time as Governor Palin’s “pregnancy,” her 16-year-old daughter, Sarah, was out of school for over five months due to “mono.”

Perhaps most damning is this photo of Bristol taken in late 2007. The baby was born in April 2008. Stomach fat or growing baby?
