Either these kids are the ultimate example of life imitating art, or the publicists over at Gossip Girl are working overtime. On the heels of multiple reports that Leighton Meester is dating Chace Crawford, we get this:

Word on the street is that Blake Lively is dating her on-screen love, Penn Badgley, in real life.

“No one is really supposed to know that,” laughs an insider. “I was told by a friend of the family.”

This story’s a bit circumspect, firstly because everyone knows that Blake Lively belongs to me, and also because she’s reportedly still on-and-off dating her Burbank High School classmate, actor/model Kelly Blatz.

Hm.

This story was definitely planted by someone. The question is just whose someone? Gossip Girl’s producers? Blake? Penn? Or Kelly Blatz?

I just don’t know, you guys. I just don’t know. Life is full of so many unanswerable questions.

“People know my own name,” she says in an interview with the AP, “from young girls, teenage girls, women in their 30s and 40s to, like, Guido-type guys, like frat boys. One day these, like, thuggish guys were, like, coming out, rolling out of their Escalade and they go — they’re like, “Man, that’s gossip girl!” And they were, like, freaking out. It was so strange how many people would just get giddy over it. And it’s people that you would not expect at all.”

My hottie girlfriend shows up to support the HELP Group’s 11th Annual Teddy Bear Ball.

I’m not super-happy about the winged eye look on her. It works on some girls, but I just don’t love it for her. I don’t love the dress, either. I think it was my Christmas dress when I was 5. But I still love her.

Anyway, co-stars Leighton Meester and Chace Crawford showed up, too, although Chace was careful not to be photographed alone with Leighton, who he’s reportedly banging after ditching Carrie Underwood.

You cannot take a bad picture of Blake Lively.

Just walking down the street is like a Vogue photo shoot for this girl. Stunning, stunning, stunning.

Okay, so I know I made a big formal announcement that Blake Lively was my new lesbian girl crush, and there was a great deal of hullabaloo surrounding the event, including stern reminders from my mother that my grandfather does, at times, read this blog (Seriously, Mom? Which of us gave him the URL? Fuck that, Mom: which of us taught him how to use a computer? It wasn’t me; I knew better.*), but I think I’ve had a slight change of heart. Or an addition of heart?

I have to say, I am none too impressed with Leighton Meester on Gossip Girl, but when I saw these photos of her with Blake at the launch of Tiffany & Co’s Blue Book Collection, I took a second look at her. She’s adorable. She’s just edible. And I think more highly of her as an actress, too; she’s totally dropped the bitch act in these photos, and seems like a whole different person.

I mean, Blake is still totally my fave, but I’m starting to think that the Serena/Blair one-two punch in the lesbian bedroom of the voice I use to write this blog would be fucking killer. Orgasmic. Bring it on.

*Grandpa, if you are reading this, I just want to state publicly that you are absolutely the coolest, bestest, hippest grandpa a girl could ever ask for, and I don’t worry about writing these things that you may read, because I know you can have a sense of humor about all this, because I got mine from you. Thank you for that.

Blake Lively, welcome to the bedroom of my imaginary lesbian life. You know, the one I have only in the voice I use to write this blog. (I say this because my mother mentioned that she disliked reading about my lesbian girl crushes. When her friends ask what I do for a living, she tells them I do “independent Internet work.” I’m like, “Jesus, Mom, why don’t you just come out and say I do porn?” Mom, darling, don’t be embarrassed of me, be embarrassed of the voice.)

Isn’t she just adorable? Fresh-faced, perky and upbeat! Her smile warms my heart! She’s like Hayden Panettiere but thin!

Man, it sure is a good thing I’m not a dude. I’d totally be one of those assholes who’s like, “You’re beautiful, sweetie. I mean, it wouldn’t kill you to lose ten pounds. But you’re beautiful just the way you are.”

Blake walked the carpet at the Hamptons Film Festival (everyone has a film festival) to promote Elvis and Anabelle, where she plays the title female character. Wow, attending a premiere for a film you’re actually in? Take that, Tara Reid!

“It is a crazy and completely insane business. I’ll go to an event wearing some designer gown and tens of thousands of dollars in jewels that were lent to me for the night, and I’ll walk around and meet people who I always thought were such a big deal…Stars really are like anyone else. At the end of the day, Brad Pitt poops — as handsome as he may be–and so does Angelina Jolie. I’m still baffled by how odd this job is.”

I think Blake may be my new girl crush. As some of you have pointed out, Jaslene is really kind of disgustingly skinny lately, and while I applaud her humanitarian efforts, she’s kind of losing her sheen for me. Blake, on the other hand, is super adorable and healthy looking. Yeah. I definitely have a thing for her.
