President-elect Barack Obama’s Victory Speech

Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

From Grant Park in Chicago.

Tonight, we saw two exceptional and patriotic speeches from two exceptional and patriotic men.

And, while I’m proud of the progress our country has made and I’m proud that we elected a Black President, I think that the results of some of the ballot measures across the nations — particularly those dealing with gay rights — make it painfully clear that we have not reached the dream of equal rights on which this country was founded. We still have pockets of senseless hate oozing their way into legislation. I’m hopeful in the sense that the votes in favor of Prop 8 are coming more from old people than from young people. Hurry up and die, you hateful old buffoons, so that my children can be raised in a country free of legislated hate and senseless discrimination.

R.I.P. Madelyn Dunham

Monday, November 3rd, 2008

Barack Obama’s grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, lost her battle with cancer early this morning.

Obama reportedly cried at a speech in North Carolina today when talking about her, calling her a “quiet hero.” I’m trying to find video.

R.I.P., Madelyn Dunham, and welcome to the Presidency of the United States of America, Barack Obama.

In All Fairness

Saturday, November 1st, 2008

It turns out that John McCain isn’t the only one with an idiot relative.  Barack Obama’s Kenyan aunt, Zeituni Onyango was refused asylum four years ago yet continues to live in public housing in Boston.  How is it even possible to reside in public housing when you are an illegal alien with an active deportation order on your head?

If that wasn’t enough, Obama’s campaign has accepted small donations from his Aunti Zeituni totaling $260.  Federal law only permits U.S. citizens and green-card holders to make campaign contributions.  Doesn’t OB know better?

In Case You Missed It

Thursday, October 30th, 2008

Check out Barack Obama on The Daily Show.

Um … is he sitting in front of a blue-screen or did they really find him a spot in Ft. Lauderdale with a bunch of old-fashioned books and a U.S. flag? It looks ridiculous either way.

Barack Obama and Mario Lopez, Together At Last

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

Just days before the election, Barack Obama has opted to sit down with Mario Lopez for an episode of Extra! airing on Thursday, where he will talk about “his mother, and his workout.”

Now, if he wanted to secure the undecided vote, he would be asking Mario Lopez the tough questions, like why he’s such a fucking tool, and how in God’s name he keeps getting work.

Barack Obama to Do the Daily Show on Wednesday

Tuesday, October 28th, 2008

As this election winds to a close, Barack Obama is ramping up, with an appearance on The Daily Show on Wednesday and a rumored appearance on SNL this weekend.

A major-party Presidential candidate doing The Daily Show just days before the election?

Dude, when Jon Stewart started out his silly little fake cable-news show, who would’ve thunk it? Amazing.

Above, find a clip of the last time Obama appeared on The Daily Show.

Quotables

Tuesday, October 28th, 2008

“I think what has been striking in this campaign is the the degree to which these kind of hate groups have been marginalized. That’s not who America is. That’s not who our future is. What I’ve found is people here don’t care what color you are. What they’re trying to figure out is who can deliver. It’s just like the Pittsburgh Steelers: they don’t care what color you are, they just want to figure out, can you make the plays?”

Barack Obama, in an interview with a Pittsburgh TV station yesterday, discussing the recently race-based threat on his life disrupted by the ATF.
