Vacation from work. She hasn’t taken time off since she started working for me a year ago.

I don’t know I still think it was pretty inappropriate. They showed that bit of the interview during her special this year and it was still really awkward. I am pretty sure he disappeared after that and kind of hid from the limelight, which I don’t blame him for one bit.
Luckily he has made enough money and seems happy now with his babies, but I do think that it was not something she should have pushed so hard for then and I think it was equally inappropriate for her to bring it back up during the special.
Its always been obvious to everyone -including my grandmother- that he was gay. No one really had an issue with it back then when he was sellin millions of albums so no need to bring this up again.
IF the dude is gay hes been an expert at keeping it a secret for more than 20 years,they have NEVER shown him w/ another dude..and he’s had girlfriends so,judge for yourself..

Barbara asked him a very personal question (her job) but can she really single-handedly destroy a career? She may have regrets about it, but maybe she’s being her usually breathlessly serious self about it. Maybe there’s a touch of grandiosity there.
George Michael, who seems to be another super talented singer heart-throb who went over to the dick side would probably have all the jobs he wanted if he could stop doing drugs and lay off the public toilets for his pickup spots of choice.
Maybe Ricky actually is working a lot in other parts of the world and we just don’t hear about it. And he just appeared at the Grammy’s, created a video to benefit Haiti with about 30 artists on it (a Ricky Martin Foundation Celebrity Appeal – it doesn’t sound like his career was destroyed by Babwa at all.
Ya know, Babwa Wawa sounds awfully full of herself is she thinks she’s to blame for the downfall of Ricky Martin. Americans are notoriously fickle about music. We shit out half-assed “musicians” left and right, only to forget about them a year later. He’s had a long and very successful career everywhere except here. Besides, do you really think the people who bought his albums were staying up at night to watch 20/20?
If people assuming Ricky Martin is gay ruined his career then his career was ruined by those people’s homophobia, not Barbara Walters.
On the other hand I don’t believe celebs should have to spill all their guts continually just because they are famous.
