Dakota Fanning is 15?

I have a very hard time accepting how grown up Dakota Fanning is looking these days. She’ll be 16 in February and she’s a junior in a private high school in L.A. Just, wow.
She appears in the December issue of Teen Vogue and talks about starring in the Twilight sequel, New Moon. It seems that she’s a big fan of the books and co-star Kristen Stewart. Let’s just hope Kristen keeps Dakota away from the bong. She’s one of the few non-Lindsays left in Hollywood and it would be nice to see her progress more down a Jodie Foster-ish path than a Mackenzie Phillips-ish path.

How can she be turning SIXTEEN in February and be a junior? Are you sure she isn’t a sophomore? Legally, the cutoff for being a junior this year is to turn sixteen by december 5, and she won’t.
It’s possible she’s trying to graduate high school in three years, since it would be more beneficial to her career.
I really think it depends on where you start school.
That is absolutely possible. I started school in Rhode Island, but moved to Washington, so I ended up being 16 when I started my senior year; both states had different laws regarding the cut-off age.
She’s said herself that she skipped a grade. But you’re right. A kid 15 going on 16 should be a sophomore.
I don’t know if it’s something about her face but she will always look 9 years old to me.
For the most part the outfits are very age appropriate (maybe i’d like the skirts to be a little longer but i’m old fashion!) which is kind of a nice surprise in comparison to the Ali Lohan’s and Miley Cyrus’s (don’t even get me started on Noah) of the world!
Some day I may learn how to properly place an apostrophe in a name :) because I don’t really think i’ve done it right.
She is beyond beautiful but Christ, who picked those outfits? They are so ugly.

Wow, she’s gorgeous. It’s so refreshing to see a young actress NOT getting into trouble all the time. I hope she keeps it that way.
she has a 70s vibe esp. in the first picture, very beyond her years even though I still think of her being 12 and she dresses much more appropriately than her peers.

15? I thought 25. Oh, and its ok being 15 and pretending ure older, the human race is getting better and better.
oh come on it’s obvious. When you’re 15 you wanna look 18 and when you’re 20 you wanna look 18. It’s always happened!! Hence the classic flattering sentences such as “oh I thought your mum was your SISTER!” or “a lady never tells her age”.

She absolutely looks her age in all but the first (leopard print) photo. Albeit, a bit underdressed and over-sexed, but 15 just the same. She’s aging beautifully and I would be surprised if she takes a turn for the worse as so many young stars do. She seems of a higher caliber to me, and there’s no question of her talent. Go Dakota!

well i will graduate when I am 16
under all the photo shop, makeup and grown up clothes, she is still a child and in most of the pics she still looks like one. but i tell ya, when shes older shes going to be a stunner!
