We thought Tom [Cruise] was the biggest bore on the face of the Earth. He was tense and made constant, constant unrelated homophobic comments, like, ‘You want some ice cream, in case there are no gay people there?’ I mean, his lingo was larded with the most… There was no basis for it. It was like, ‘It’s a nice day, I’m glad there are no gay people standing here.’ Very, very strange. Years and years later when people started to torment him with that, I used to think ‘God, that’s really fitting, because he tormented a lot of people as a 20-year-old.’ He made such a big deal about it. Same thing with Eddie Murphy—I remember somebody calling and saying, ‘You’ll never guess who was just caught with a transvestite!’ [Laughs.] And I remember thinking that seemed fitting, because there are certain people in showbiz who make it an agenda, every third sentence has to have something knocking that life choice, and you think, ‘What are you doing?‘”

Bronson Pinchot, outing Tom Cruise as the homophobic that we’ve always known he is.

“Gay guys are gross. Let’s go watch guys being gay with each other so we can talk about how gross it is.”

I like imagine Tom Cruise saying this.

  2. Bleh says:

    GAH!!!!!!! Those CRAZY eyes!!!

I love that. “Its a nice day. I’m glad there are no gay people standing here”

So my plans for the rest of the day have officially changed. Instead of being productive I intend to see just how many times I can say something like “well isn’t that a lovely green car I am certainly glad there are no gay people sitting on it” before I get decked by someone.

wow finally someone who said what everyone has been thinking! lol I remember a couple years back I was listening to Wendie Williams on the radio and she would always talk about how eddie & tommy were closet homos….& i also read a couple of blind items about how tom’s marriage is a sham

  5. Mia says:

His teeth offend me, along with his belief system.

Hardcore homophobics are most of the time just closeted gay people. Why would you reject a lifestyle so consistently?

    • Alzaetia says:

One of the biggest homophobes I ever knew preferred anal to vaginal sex, and also enjoyed being on the receiving end from his girlfriend’s dildo. A lot.
      And he watched wrestling religiously.
I was like, “Does he not realize that he’s gay?”

i wouldn’t doubt that cruise said all this stuff, but who is this pinchot guy? a mildly famous actor talking smack about a fellow actor he was in a movie once with who made it a lot bigger than he did. how is this any different than screech’s book about all the “scandals” on saved by the bell?

  8. nichole says:

remember when he was a sex symbol? weird right?

  9. Melina says:

‘It’s a nice day, I’m glad there are no big toothed actor standing here.’

Tom Cruise needs to be eliminated once and for all…cant we have the old tom back…the Far and Away tom. Thats who I like…oh wait…thats just a character…nevermind…get rid of him…oh and I HATE HATE HATE HATE his useless wife and jackass kid suri…for some reason that child grosses me out! TEAM SHILOW

    • me says:

Oh HEEEELLLL no. Yeah TC is a douchebag and katie isn’t Meryl Streep.. but Suri is BY FAR the most adorable little girl I’ve ever seen. Shilow is too puffy looking in the face. Don’t blame Suri for the parents she was born to

  11. Think Straight says:

Maybe Scientology provides excuses for their celebrity converts to be gay (or bi) as part of their “religious” doctrine.

I know someone whose friend was repeatedly hit on by John Travolta at a bar/restaurant in Maryland. My friend was told that John just wouldn’t stop.

So maybe Scientology encourages these famous people who have a lot to lose (or do they?) by admitting that they are bi to redefine gayness in some way that puts the seal of approval on the behavior without having to acknowledge it.

And the good Stepford wives go along with it because they love their husbands and don’t want to lose them by objecting.

I had way more respect for Pinchot than Cruise, even before I checked his IMDB to learn that he’s been working consistently for the better part of 3 decades. Plus, he could have come out with this stuff at any point if he was just fame-whoring. I think it’s legit.

I have no doubt TC said stupid stuff like this, but just as an aside: it’s not a lifestyle CHOICE, Bronson. I can’t speak for every gay person out there, but I was BORN this way. I never made a “choice” to be attracted to men, just as straight people never make a “choice” to be attracted to the opposite sex. To suggest that it’s a choice is to suggest that all straight people could simply “choose” to be gay, when I think we all know it doesn’t really work that way.
