Kanye Apologizes to Everyone Except Taylor Swift

September 15th, 2009 by Wendie

Taylor Swift was a guest on The View today — incidentally, Kate Gosselin sucks as a guest host — and the harpies wasted no time asking her about the whole VMA debacle.  I’m so glad she got a chance to let everyone know that Kanye hasn’t even contacted her yet.

It’s kind of old news in this Autumn of Anger, but Kanye sure has a lot of time to blog apologies and talk to Leno about being a dickwad, why not call the girl, apologize and move on?  He’s more interested in restoring his public image — and it sucked to begin with — than actually connecting with someone he hurt and making it right.  I’ve said it before, I’ll say it now, and I assume I’ll be saying it again:  Fuck you, Kanye.

She amazes me. For being so young, she’s so good at what she does.

  2. Alzaetia says:

We should all get shirts that say “Fuck you, Kanye” in anticipation of his next major fuck up…

  3. skeelo says:

Why should Kanye rush to apologize to Taylor Swift? What did she ever do for him, except steal Beyonce’s Moonman? She should wait her turn for admission to Kanye West Apology Tour ‘09 like everyone else.
It’s not like Kanye owes Taylor Swift anything. Oh, wait… didn’t he just wrong her in some big, public way? I guess his rambling blog about liking her song about a cheerleader is just not a good enough ‘apology’ for some people.

  4. Steph says:

Apparently he just called her to apologize and she said she accepted. She’s so classy and mature, especially given her age.

  5. Crystal says:

WHO CARES?! It’s not like he physically assaulted her. Yes, he was an idiot and she’s a sweet girl I’m sure, but seriously there are bigger problems in the world than a rapper stealing some country singer’s spotlight.

    • Alzaetia says:

So, if he did physically assault her you’d say what? At least he didn’t kill her?
Is that how you got out of trouble as a kid?
“I know I didn’t do my homework or my chores, but at least I didn’t beat anybody up.”

Kanye’s a little bitch. He’s rude as fuck. He deserves for people to react badly to his bad behavior.

I agree. And I think the people comparing this to Chris Brown’s assault on Rihanna are off base. Being outraged about Kanye doesn’t mean we think it’s comparable to what Chris Brown did. But are we only allowed to be mad about one celebrity asshole at a time? There are unfortunately a lot worse things going on in the world than even a singer beating up his girlfriend and I, for one, have plenty of outrage to go around.

If you’re so concerned with the major problems in the world and not with celeb gossip, than why are you on a celebrity gossip site?

  6. Jess says:

I know she’s a nurse and all. But the few minutes she’s given to speak…next to Whoopie, Joy & Barbera…Kate seems so uneducated…and outdated…and classless. Maybe she and Sherri could go to a show on their own together.

Only a man of questionable sexual orientation would be that passionate over Beyonce not winning an award. Something you’d like to share with the rest of the class Kanye? I hate T Swift’s music, still a dick move.

    • cj says:

Oh come now. I’m sure there are plenty of men of “questionable sexual orientation” who could give a shit about Beyonce winning an award. It’s sufficient to call Kanye a jerk or whatever without implying that the reason for his behavior is that he’s gay.

I couldn’t agree more Wendie. And I’m sadly disappointed that this shit has overtaken what really matters, the fact that Patrick Swayze has died.

I will say though that both Taylor and Beyonce handled this well. Kudos to them both, and a big bitch-slap fuck you to Kanye. After all, it takes a bitch to do what he did.

After Kanye West apologized to fans (oh, and Taylor) on his blog Sunday night and to the world while on Jay Leno (amidst ‘tears’ when asked what his mother would’ve said about the incident), West decidedly phoned Taylor Swift today when she was backstage after The View airing. Way to go Kanye, you let the internet, Leno audience members, and all of your fans know you were sorry, and then decided, oh yeah Taylor deserves a call too. Good thing he waited to make his move until after she announced to the world that he had not personally tried to contact her yet. Man, there’s an award winning apology. The verdict? Of course Taylor accepted it; she actually has the decency that Kanye so obviously lacks.

Taylor discusses Kanye’s phoned (or in my opinion, “phony”) apology:

I think its time to get over this. I mean, Taylor Swift herself seems to be over it, Atleast thats what she said about accepting his apology. I dont get why Chris Brown didnt get a bigger backlash from every single person and their mother for something far worse that he did to Rihanna.

    good post Wendie :)
