Fantastic Mr. Fox is Going To Be Dooooooppppeeeee
September 3rd, 2009 by MollsThis featurette for Fantastic Mr. Fox was released yesterday and if you’re anything like me, you’re really looking forward to the meeting of both Wes Anderson and Roald Dahl’s whimsical writing– the two, on paper, seem to be made for each other.
You won’t like this featurette if you don’t like to see how your food is made, as we get to see the foxes in all their various stages of construction, how the sets were made, the props disassembled on tables. However, for any Dahl fans out there, it’s great to see how much time and care Anderson put in to each little hair on the foxes heads. While Tim Burton more or less slaughtered Dahl’s most famous work, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Anderson has just the right amount of quirky love to take such a classic and well-respected book to the big screen without alienating the fans.

WEs Anderson is by FAR my favorite director ever… Rushmore, Darjeeling Limited, Life Aquatic… soo good. And it’s great to see he’s keeping all his regulars in this film! I’m gonna have to read this book now!
