Jerry O’Connell Takes a New Career Path
August 14th, 2009 by WendieNow that Jerry O’Connell, (probably best known for his roles in Sliders and Stand By Me) has twins with wife Rebecca Romijn, his agenda has changed quite a bit. While Rebecca works on her new series Eastwick (it’s due this fall), Jerry stays home to raise their two daughters, Charlie and Dolly. Since he’s got a bit of downtime from acting, O’Connell has decided to return to school.
Starting a couple of weeks ago, Jerry became a part-time law student at Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles. ”I had always planned on continuing my education at some point … and I’m home all day with the girls, I figured I would take a couple of classes at night. ”
I give him credit for deciding to complete his education; it would be so easy to just rely on his fame. I’m not sure how many more lawyers are needed in the City of Angels, but I wish him luck nonetheless!

Let’s hope he has more altruistic motives than becoming a Hollywood lawyer. Blech. Good for him.
Normally, I hate these two because they are so beautiful. But this isn’t a particularly good picture of either of them, and that’s quite a feat. She’s a little too tan and he looks a little too crazed. So on this day, I cannot bring forth the hate.
Is it just me, or are they starting to look alike??
Awwww. I love him. I am not sure about the lawyer thing, but the fact that he is staying home taking care of his daughters makes me love him even more.
I was listening to the Adam Carolla podcast and Jerry was a guest. He said that Rebecca doesn’t want a Nanny looking after their girls, so they do it all themselves. I think that’s pretty awesome, especially in Hollywood where everyone has a Nanny!
I am seriously so in love with this couple. They look so happy.
I think that lawyers is a good job….To become a Hollywood lawyer is good….
Oh, is that all? I thought maybe Jerry was FINALLY coming out of the closet!
I wish there were more guys like him!
Same here!
I admire him for both being a stay-at-home dad and going back to school. Also, he chose to pursue LAW of all things. I’m a pre-law student and law school is a $^%@#.
Anyways, they’re such a cute couple.
i totally agree
he’s pretty well known for his role in crossing jordan also =)
I love woody!
