Trailer Released of Heath Ledger’s Last Film
August 11th, 2009 by WendieThe Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus trailer has finally been released. The fantasy movie, better known as Heath Ledger’s last movie, is scheduled an October 16 release. Because Ledger died during the first third of filming, Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell were cast to portray Heath’s character as it morphs during travel through a dream world.
Obviously, it will rake in millions due to the amazing cast and Heath curiousity. Does the trailer pique your interest?

my interest is most DEFINITELY piqued.
I will probably see it because I like all the actors who will join Heath in the role, BUT….Terry Gilliam films in the past have left me feeling ripped off because they have been overly long and self indulgent. I will wait until Rotten Tomato’s film review comes out. [This clip looks Tim Burtonish.]
yes! tim burton-ish. that’s exactly the adjective I was looking for. kind of gives me that Alice-in-Wonderlandy vibe. and johnny’s in it too, so I guess that adds on to the similarity.

This trailer was actually pretty good and made me want to know more about it. I must say that some of the animation stuff looked not of the highest quality, but ti may just be the style of the film.
Last time Depp was in a Gilliam movie, he did his best role/acting to date, add to that some very talented actors, and you’ve got another masterpiece.
For those with short memories, Gilliam is an auteur, Burton is only a mimic.

i think it’s almost creepy how much they got johnny depp, colin farrell, & jude law to look like heath ledger. i also wonder if the quote depp says, “nothing’s permanent, not even death,” was used in the trailer to go with ledger’s untimely death. either way, i still want to see it.
