That White Powder Isn’t Oxiclean
August 8th, 2009 by KellyFlorida authorities released an autopsy report yesterday stating that repeated cocaine use most likely contributed to infomercial pitchman Billy Mays’ death.
And no one is surprised.
Well, except for his wife.
Mays’ angry family called the announcement “speculative … and frankly unnecessary.”
His widow, Deborah, who found her husband dead in bed, said she may hire an independent expert to review the findings.
She said she was unaware of any drug use by her husband, beyond prescription pills for a hip problem.
“Billy suffered from chronic, untreated hypertension,” she said in a statement.
“Given the hectic nature and pace of Billy’s life, especially during the past 10 months of his exhaustive travel across the country, it was not surprising to hear that hypertension was the cause of his death.”

I was just talking to a friend who had spinal surgery and is on the same drugs, she made the point that what was found could be a by product of Coke, but not necessarily a by product of a combo or something over the counter or alternative. Even foods can interact with narcotic pain relievers, like pasta can make absorption 50 percent faster, so a more detailed chemical analysis can be done to make sure what it was and she could understand the family being upset as they are if he had no history of recreational use.
Or he did a line for old time sake and it caused his heart to have a flat tire and he died. I never would have pegged a guy that successful who worked that hard and was such a good businessman to be up to those shenanigans though.
Although that is a very funny clip – the story kind of made me feel a little… uneasy. There is no real proof of what he did and its kind of disrespectuful to the dead to speak shit about them so soon after their death.
Probably cause I really liked Billy Mays.

I am quite sad to hear that he was druggy… but not really shocked or surprised.
