Tyra Banks Is The Oprah Winfrey Of Dining Out

You know how I can’t stand Oprah for her sanctimonious “You Must Embrace My Every Philosophy” ways?  Seems like Tyra Banks, who wants to be Oprah anyway, has been on a diet — she did look terrific at last month’s BET awards — and is making those around her eat healthy too.

A source close to Fox 411 says that when Tyra eats out, she not only makes healthful selections but insists that those dining with her do as well.  “Most people think she’s joking at first, but then they realize she actually expects them to follow her eating rules too.  She tells them: ‘If I’m not eating it, you’re not eating it!’”

So, what types of entrees can you expect to dine upon when sharing a meal with Saint Tyra?  What else?  Lean proteins, veggies and water.

I’ve decided to adopt this same policy and only allow the people around me to eat what I can thanks to having Celiac disease.  Dear family, say “Goodbye,” to your beer, bread, cookies, oh, and any and all foods that taste halfway decent.  If I’m not eating it, you’re not eating it.

I went on a date with a guy who had Celiac’s disease. He was very nice, but I felt so bad because he could hardly eat anything they had there, but insisted on taking me out to dinner.

    How mean of her!

  3. Señor Loco says:

Wow! Talk about a control freak. I don’t care what the rest of the evening would bring — if anybody told me what I can or cannot eat at a restaurant, I’d have very special words for them.

I have Celiac too! *girly jumping up and down*

I think Bud Lite goes off and on the list as being gluten-free, so if you ever need a crappy beer bump…you’ve always got the “Spring Break” of beers to get you through it!

Also, Strongbow, BlackThorne and Woodchuck are all gluten free and awesome cider-beers.

If all else fails, a gin neat will help you forget that you’d rather be drinking a beer.

    Brown rice pasta for all!

  6. Jessica says:

Dude, they have Gluten Free Betty Crocker cake mix now. It’s actually very good.

My sister has celiac disease and it was the most annoying thing ever. She was already an attention whore and this just made it worse. She actually DID expect everyone to eat her gross food and got pissed off whenever we didn’t. It was always woe-is-me at every family function and it was just horrible.

Is your name really Celia and your sister has celiac disease? kind of funny. not the disease, though. that would suck. i’m glad my vegan sister isn’t like that, although it’s different because it’s her choice.

Budweiser makes a gf beer called Redbridge. I’ve had it before and it’s actually pretty good. To me it tastes like an IPA. It’s made from a grain called sorghum.

My girlfriend is a celiac and also has family in your town.

  9. Una says:

Tyra is tired. She’s had a lot of press that makes her seem like a 2 faced diva.

  11. Sass says:

Her show is GARBAGE. And she’s out of her damn mind. They must have pulled sista friend’s weave too tight because she’s CONSTANTLY making wonky faces.

    She’ll never be Oprah. Never.

Tyra is the Black Ricki Lake. Seriously.

  12. ab says:
