While Farrah’s son, Redmond O’Neal, was allowed out of jail to attend his mother’s funeral, Ryan O’Neal’s other son Griffin (who is not Farrah’s child) was denied entry per Ryan’s request. If you remember, back in February ‘07, Ryan was arrested for allegedly assaulting Griffin.
Griffin reportedly drove 300 miles to attend the funeral and pay his last respects to Farrah. “She’s mad right now that I’m not in there,” he said. “I just wanted to say goodbye to someone I knew and loved for 33 years.”
I know Ryan’s in a lot of pain right now, and I assume Griffin is probably a gigantic asshole, but is it right to deny someone access to a funeral like this?

Michael and Dina Lohan must have taken a page out of Ryan O’Neil’s How to Destroy Your Own Children book. O’Neil is a walking disaster as a father – a total failure. What inner ugliness.
Griffin is an attention whore, as evidenced by this pic and his described behavior outside the funeral. Dad Ryan knew this, and rightfully denied him entrance so Farrah could begin her rest in peace.
I wouldn’t expect anything less. Ryan O’Neal is a terrible father, period.

It sucks that although for years he’s been close to her, as stated, he’s refused entry.
Her son is an ass. I hope that at the end he did get to pay his respects. Because that fucking blows ass.

Maybe its a nod to his sister Tatum O’Neal,who wore a matching tux(with Ryan) to the Oscars in the 70’s.

According to various sites off google and Wiki, they have one child, daughter Dillon. I guess it is a girl.
Ryan is a dick. Unless Farrah specifically left instructions that banned Griffin, who the hell is Ryan to make decisions on who gets to pay respects?
Griffin is the one who set off a huge family bustup a couple of years ago. He tied his brother Redmond to the stairs or something while Ryan & Farrah were out, supposedly to keep him from doing drugs. Huge fight ensued, police, tabloid stories. The family is a mess. Griffin is also the one who was recklessly driving a boat & killed Francis Ford Coppola’s son.

Farrah’s rep stayed pretty clean considering all the men around her were up to their assholes in drugs. Oh yeah, & Tatum. Wow. If the O’Neals had only done a reality show…
I was so confused by this post. First, trying to figure out who was who, griffin is ryan is o’neill is redmond.
and I was trying to figure out where their daughter is in the picture. I thought it was the woman standing there but then decided that the little boy is no way his wife.

Farrah helped Griffen many times escape his toxic Dad’s fury,. as well as the step-daughter Tatum? [ryan and farrah weren’t married} Patrick and her own son.. and finally just gave up custody of his children, told Ryan to leave her alone and take his troubles with him. Too bad she didn’t stick with that order.. and keep Redmond away from him.

The Hiltons and the Lohans ain’t got shit on this group. If I understand correctly, Redmond – not Griffin – is Farrah’s son. That said, I understand that Griffin had a long and caring relationship with her, no doubt. However, Ryan was the one who had the romantic partnership with her. This is not to say that Ryan and Redmond are not drug addict pieces of shit. It was Griffin who cause the big firearms bust-up, but not long thereafter I remember his father and brother were arraigned on drug charges together. How sweet. BUT, who is this drama queen trying to fool into believing that he had simply NO IDEA that there was such bad blood?! The fact that he thinks anyone would buy this is ridic. He had no right to barge in on that time and make the rest of the family uncomfortable during such a painful time. And Ryan, for all of his bad decisions, was probably right to put the needs of the majority first. I am glad Griffin’s dramatics at the door were not reported on with the funeral coverage. Everyone just wants a piece of the pie. Truly sad.
Griffin has that big head look going…unless it’s the way the photo looks….and yes, he does look a bit like Tim Allen….but meaner. and he did cause the accident that killed Francis Ford Coppola’s son – what a family those O’Neals are. Dad must be so proud.
