I am African, and completely understand why people are angered by the fact that Madonna couldn’t even bother to pick up her new daughter from the airport
BUT
in the end that child will be better off with Madonna as a mother then being stuck in an orphanage where you cry yourself to sleep and no one ever picks u up cause there is so many of you

What I love is this kid David. Who never fails to amuse me with his poses.

I have yet to see a picture of him that does not crack me up.

I am placing bets on him being the one that writes the “Mommy Dearest” book about Madge. He just strikes me as a kid that will not put up with any of her non-sense.

I cannot imagine what would happen if I called my local animal shelter and asked “Do you deliver?”

It might be worth a giggle, but I’m not about to waste the time of a worthwhile organization. I also already have a hell-cat from said shelter, so I’ve got enough to worry about.

it is absolutely not only about money and how much you can buy a child. it is about the time and love you can give to another human being.

It’s not the adopting part I found objectionable, it was the part about Madonna not even bothering to go to the airport to pick up the child herself. If it were me (I should be so lucky) I would have picked the child up myself in Malawi and made sure she was comfortable and taken care of on the plane trip(s) back to the States. It’s called MOTHERING.

Seriously, people are complaining about this? I’m not sure why I don’t follow everyone with the whole “Madonna adopting is horrible.” She has money and the resources to give this orphan child a happy home, and people are complaining? Why does everyone celebrate and go nuts over Angelina adopting her 18th child? But when someone else does it, it’s seen as a bad thing? Hmm..

Seriously! Maybe she thought ti would be better to not go there to avoid having media around her, but c’mon! You are Madonna! You are bringing the child into a public life! Why the hell weren’t you there? I am hard pressed to find a reason good enough to not go and and meet your newly adopted child while she is being pulled away from the only home she knows. If anyone can think of one, please let me know.
