Mike Tyson Weds in Las Vegas

Just two weeks after the tragic death of his four-year-old daughter, Exodus, Mike Tyson married girlfriend Lakiha Spicer in Las Vegas. It’s his third marriage.

The wedding took place on Saturday in a private ceremony at the La Bella Wedding Chapel, its owner Shawn Absher told Reuters.

“No guests whatsoever, just the bride and groom,” Absher said. “Very intimate, sincere. Mike seemed very happy.”

I suppose there are a lot of things that could be said here, in light of the recent events in Tyson’s life. And in light of the recent events in Tyson’s life, I’ll refrain from saying them. I do wish him all the best.

So…. he’s moved on? That was quick.

  2. Nicadema says:

I believe the girlfriend is the mother of his daughter who died. That’s what I read anyway. So perhaps this was a step for them both to move forward. But its Tyson–so who knows?

Hmm. Perhaps this is his way of coping with his grief. I’m going to try and not think the worst of him, even though he is an ear-biting rapist.

Not the mother of the deceased child.

I guess that kind of tragedy makes you realize how much you don’t ever want to give up those you love

Eh. It’s easy from the outside to say it’s tasteless. But losing a child is possibly the worst thing that can happen to a person, and if in his grief he’s marrying someone to try to find comfort or peace, well, that’s far from the worst thing he could do. He is an ear-biting rapist, but he’s also probably in his own personal hell right now – a quickie wedding isn’t as destructive as turning to booze or drugs to numb the pain.

    ear biter? yes.
    rapist? we’ll never know.

i was watching The Hangover yesterday and when he showed up on screen i was suddenly saddened remembering about his daughter, and today i read that he wed his girlfriend just a few weeks after that tragic event but honestly we do not know how this family is dealing with such a sad event, and i choose to believe that this marriage was a way to make them feel stronger, as a family, to unite and find their way through this. i wish them the best

Yeah, I have an intuitive feeling his new wife was responsible for his daughters death. I’m usually about 75% correct when I have these feelings. It just doesn’t feel right.

I’m pretty sure this is NOT the mother of the child, so unless she broke into the house, and hung the little girl from the exercise machine; I would say this is one of those 25% times you are wrong.

I thought she wasn’t the mother of that child but lived with him and his children. Maybe I’m mistaken.
