I saw him on Leno- what the quote doesn’t show is his mood and how the crowd initially started laughing then cut themselves off when they saw Mel’s mood change to sour and bitter momentarily following the comment- Jay and him go way back- it was nice to see the montage he put together of greatest moment of Mel on his show over the past 17 years! =)

He is a devout Catholic, so divorce and adultery shouldn’t be so acceptable to him. I love how people can be so judgmental until they “break the rules” then all of a sudden the rules were always flexible…riiiight.
