More Singles: Leighton Meester, “Birthday”

May 5th, 2009 by Evil Beet

It’s just the month of new singles around here. Everyone’s releasing or “leaking” them. Here’s a “leak” of Leighton Meester’s single from her upcoming debut album. It’s called “Birthday.” It’s way better than that crap Paula Abdul just released, but it’s definitely not Taylor Swift quality.

Yes! This song was written by a kick ass band from Miami called ANR (Awesome New Republic) that is totally worth checking out.

It’s kinda funny, apparently they gave the song to her people like a year ago and they took so long to do something that ANR recorded it themselves. Which you can check out here – http://odeo.com/episodes/24359170-Awesome-New-Republic-Birthday
