May 4th, 2009 by Evil BeetHere’s a way better vid of the crazy dude who rushed the stage at Britney’s Connecticut show on Saturday. You can see around 2:19 how scared Britney is. She starts screaming and shaking, and then she quickly gets it together and resumes the show.
I’d be terrified too if I were her. To us it’s just like “Ohhh, crazy Britney fan,” but Brit doesn’t know if he’s just an over-excited fan or if he’s trying to kill her. It’s really impressive how well she pulled it back together and carried on with the show. Go Brit-Brit!!!

I’m sorry if I don’t offer much sympathy, but I can guarantee you she made a lot more than a clerk working the night shift at a 7-11 who’s had a gun stuck in their face. Now that’s something to really be scared of compared to having some douche walking up on stage looking for a smooch. And fer cryin’ out loud, if you’re going to include a nightstick in your show, learn how to use it to defend yourself. One good smack to that clown’s shin would have sent a great message to any other future stalkers out there.

Yeah, sucks that he scared her but what I really couldn’t get past is how she just kinda stumbles around on stage. It doesn’t seem like she really does the dance moves, just goes thru the motions. Maybe this video wasn’t a great representation but I have seen others and she looks the same in those. On the plus side, her body looks fabulous.
Not to derail the train of thought here…but did anyone else find it strange that she screamed directly into the mic and we didn’t hear her? If all she’s actually doing up there is dancing it might be nice to learn the routine.

Actually, watch and listen more closely, you CAN hear her scream.

The sound is offset. It’s like whenever you make a video of yourself to put on youtube, or sometimes you watch them and the sound is a few seconds late. If you watch it again wait like 2 seconds after you see the scream and you’ll hear it.

I dont get the obsession with Britney Spears. Why would someone pay to see her casually walk across the stage lip-syncing everything? Can we even call what she is doing choreography? She may be back but she was much more of a performer before her melt down.

When you are a performer you learn to pick yourself back up again when something goes wrong. I don’t care if she was “shaken”, she should be able to keep going. Especially since she doesn’t have to worry about singing well.
I think some people should quit being so mean about this! I’m not in any way, shape, or form a fan of Britney Spears. I don’t like her music or her dancing. BUT, can’t we have some compassion here? If that happened to anyone, that’d be scary. There are some real CREEPS out there, and that guy could’ve been after a smooch or a shot to the head for all she knew. And you can also tell beforehand she hadn’t been looking that way, so she was startled, too. Sheesh, we all have feelings! Lay off.

She reacted just like anyone else does when their concentration is interrupted by something totally surprising, but there is no reason to feel badly for her, there was no damage done!
