Marilyn Manson Finally Discovers That The Grass Was Not Greener

I guess the main story here is that Marilyn Manson has been contacting his ex-wife, Dita Von Teese, since he split with Evan Rachel Wood. To refresh your memory, Marilyn and Evan’s relationship began while he was still married to Dita. Now that he’s single again, Dita claims that Marilyn has been in touch. “He’s been in touch a little. The apologies come, and he was like, ‘I made a big mistake’. And I’m like, ‘Yeah, yeah, I know. Go ahead and say what you need to say to feel better and to sleep at night.’ Right now I’ve got three (men). They’re all in different parts of the world… That’s my biggest sin – juggling men.”
Yeah, whatever, Marilyn shouldn’t have cheated. Now he regrets it. You don’t know what you’ve got ’til it’s gone, blah, blah, blah. All I can focus on is Dita Von Teese’s fingernails-is that some sort of reverse French manicure? It has distracted me the entire time that I was trying to care about their love gone wrong.

The half-moon manicure is healthier for your nails because it let’s the “live” part of your nails breathe. It keeps your nails from getting brittle and slows the yellowing of nails under dark polish.

May well be some reverse French manicure thing, but what it looks like is some ill-fitting Lee Press-On Nails.

it is a reverse french manicure. i just read an article in some magazine or online or something. it involves painting the little nail bed at the bottom with an opposing colour. and it is a little transfixing to look at.

The first thing I looked at was the nail situation. I just don’t care for it. Secondly? That old-biddy hair. I get the whole retro thing, but that retro is ollllld-inducing.

leaving the half moons of one’s nails unpainted was a popular manicure practice in the 30s and 40s. it matches her style’s general vibe, i suppose. i don’t really like it, but if anyone can pull it off, it’s dita von teese. she’s absolutely gorgeous.
You beat me to it Taylor. It was a very, very popular style back then and I actually love it.
by “i don’t really like it”, i meant for myself–i don’t have what it takes to work that look, but she is absolutely stunning. i first read about this style in a book i have about beauty through the last ten decades. there have been some really gorgeous trends that i wish would come back :).
Sometimes i just think she’s a better version of Rumer Willis.
You know Manson looks like he would be a freak in bed, so I would have to have sex with him just one more time.

Or if Evan Rachael Wood googles Dita Von Teese, and things, “hmm, so that’s how you apply liquid eye liner! If I study her, then become her, he’ll love me like her. Then we can paint water colors of dead people and really make some memories!”
Manson tried to create a brainless Dita, with a young, malleable, low-self esteemed doll. Evan Rachael Wood will be forever fucked up because of this…I mean, is she goth, is she pin-up, is she bat shit crazy for fucking Marilyn Manson? Did he even see the movie 13??
I commend Dita for her manipulation of Manson’s emotions though, that NEVER goes out of style!

I think that Dita Von Teese is exquisite. I think her nails look fantastic, and all the girls who have something mean to say, WISH, that they could be half as faboosh as Dita.
MM can go make more Dita copies and leave her alone, what an asshole.
She is unoriginal in every way. A real bore. The nails are probably one more rip-off of “you know, like, the way those classic Hollywood ladies did it way back when, le sigh, I absolutely MUST have you do them that way, Andre.”

She always has her nails like that. It’s a half-moon manicure. it looks much better on dita than i’ve seen on anyone else, actually. I asked for it once at a nail salon and the lady told me it was too hard to do…..
It looks like REALLY badly self-applied fake nails.Like I used to put on when I was little.
I’m one of this sites much older fans and I remember my mother doing her nails like this in the ’50s. It was the normal way to do it. It was just leaving a half moon unpolished and I thought it was beautiful!
