Check out this hilarious interview with British comedian Ricky Gervais and Sesame Street’s Elmo. Ricky was on the set for an interview with Elmo that will air this November when Sesame Street premiers its 40th Anniversary episode.
It’s phenomenal how well the Elmo voice actor/puppeteer stays in character in the midst of all this craziness.

You know, Elmo started really bugging me for a while, but I have found a new love for him! Hilarious!
Elmo’s puppeteer is AMAZING. I love how you can hear him almost crack up a couple of times.
Elmo and Ricky are laugh out loud hurt your tummy funny. I have always loved how witty the Muppets on Sesame Street are. It’s a GREAT show and I love that the show I grew up with is a show that my children are growing up with.
The funniest thing is that Elmo’s voice is that of a middle-aged black man. Kevin Clash is his name and he also did the voice for Baby Sinclair on “Dinosaurs”.
Up until now I have always hated Elmo. Now I love him just a little.
I still hate Elmo.
But I dig Kevin Clash.

This is hilarious! I love how, when the puppeteer can’t stop laughing, he makes it look like Elmo is chuckling with Ricky Gervais instead of losing his cool. Good work!
