UGH … Rihanna Back with Chris Brown?

I suppose this is as unsurprising as it is upsetting.
People magazine is reporting that Chris Brown and Rihanna have reconciled, and are currently holed up at one of Diddy’s homes.
I know what you’re thinking: Diddy probably lent them that place so he could have his bodyguards hold Chris down while Rihanna kneed him in the balls repeatedly. Right?
Nope.
“They’re together again. They care for each other,” says a source. “While Chris is reflective and saddened about what happened, he is really happy to be with the woman he loves.”
If this is true, Rihanna, SHAME ON YOU. The eyes of the world’s young women are turned to you right now, and what do you do? Run back to the man who beat you? I don’t care how young you are or what you’re a victim of, this is your life, this is your decision, and it is reprehensible. The example you’re setting for women everywhere is nauseating. Shame, shame, shame. Get your act together, girl. This isn’t a pattern you want to set for your life, and it is not a message you want to send to your fans.

It’s upsetting to hear this, but I can’t say I didn’t expect it. I hoped and hoped to see Rihanna be strong, let out a public statement about standing up to domestic violence, move on, etc. I’m a bit curious as to how each of their careers will fair because of this. Such a sad situation.

Honestly, I still feel bad for her. I dont think she’s in the right frame of mind right now. Even though she’s a celebrity, she’s still human. And human women who have been beaten like this by their boyfriend or husband tend to go back to them. Why they do this, I have no idea. I’m just hoping that she’ll snap out of it and realize that she doesn’t need him.

If Rihanna and Chris Brown are really back together then i’m sure there’s some kind of psychological explanation why this might happen

Yes, I believe there it is a psychological reason for her returning to him. It is called Stockholm syndrome, and is often the reason for why physically abused women will return to or defend their abusers. I sincerely hope that Rihanna is at the very least receiving some counselling from a good therapist. She is still a young girl, so I hope her parents try to stay in touch with her and help her to understand that she does not need someone like that in her life.

hey i have read alot of this and on a basic level all people do is talk. if she wants to be with the man she love’s why does the world feel disappointed and angry at her, yea she may have been a role model to you but the question is do you want a life like her or better than her. not every role model out there is clean we all have skeletons on our closet leave them to grow up and learn for their mistakes, i bet half the people saying nasty things about chris and rhianna have suffered abuse if not domestic in a way have suffer’d maybe something worst. you not them and can’t be yes you right by speaking out on domestic abuse but saying hurtful words to a guy trying to find help is hurtful and can’t help him. hope the best and have clean minds towards issues like this instead of talking loads of nonsense to a couple who are already together and love each other.

Rihanna has as much self esteem as a punching bag. Chris Brown is an animal that should be in a cage. Both play the pathetic victim card. Chris blames his abusive household and Rihanna saying she endured migraines from her parents arguing. At the end of the day they’re both idiots. The only morality test for CB is to ask himself: it it right to have someone beat the snot out of me?
Why we should hold them up to role model status is beyond me. They’re pop stars- people who’s fame is based mostly on superficial traits at best. It’s not like they’ve done anything of real importance. They are icons of materialism and as such they seek advice from its high priest – Diddy. They’re part of a malignant culture in which the public having spent too much time vicariously living through celeb rags and TV shows, haven’t a clue that they’re just sub genius cogs in a money machine much bigger than them.
The two getting together is calculated. To go to trial, Rihanna would have to take a stand and reveal endorsement unfriendly testimony-you know stuff like, “I’m really a man”, “I take it up the….”, etc. The truth hurts – endorsements. At the end of the day, that’s the only place they make their lunch money. They both have lousy deals, no publishing rights, they need endorsements like a vampire needs blood.
So the Chris Brown to jail narrative doesn’t feed into it. But the forgive and redemption song at best can lead to a book, talk show appearances, a new duet and the golden fleece of it all – a reality show. Their audience are mostly sub developed egos of late teens and 20’s. They couldn’t give a hoot for the most part about domestic abuse. They really as dumb as their idols. All the care about is the pretty picture staying together. They’ll also be the pathetic souls crying at Rihanna’s funeral like she were a relative.
In the end they all just need to get a life.
