Usher’s Wife Went Into Cardiac Arrest Before Liposuction

So, as you all probably know by now, Usher’s wife, Tameka Foster, was in Brazil to have lipo on her tummy, and went into cardiac arrest after being put under general anesthesia. Tameka had just given birth to the couple’s second son two months ago.
Now, everyone wants to talk about how the stomach isn’t ready for lipo that soon after giving birth, which is neither here nor there, because the lipo was never performed, you guys. The problem was with the general anesthesia. I have two questions:
1) Why on earth did she go to Brazil to have a simple, legal procedure like lipo performed?
2) Why was she under general anesthesia for lipo? Many, many doctors in the U.S. will perform this procedure under twilight anesthesia, which is equally comfortable and presents a far, far lesser risk for the patient than general anesthesia.
I feel like there’s something we’re not being told here.

I don’t understand why women feel that they have to look like a supermodel right after having a baby. It’s all the fucktards in HollyWeird. Most women do not show up one week after delivering a baby wearing their old skinny jeans. This woman could have died. For what? A flatter tummy? Wonder if she thinks it’s worth it now. I gained 50lbs with my daughter. I was 125lbs before. I got BIG. I didn’t freak out, stayed busy with her and did a lot of walking. It took me close to 6mnths to lose it. I gained 40lbs with my son and lost 30lbs in six weeks. Held onto those last ten pounds. Had to, he was sucking the life right out of me.
Lipo is very cheap and the best knowndoctors are in South America a boob job in Colombia runs you about 3000 I am going soon and all the women in my family have gone, lol….She most likely did t to be anonymous, well now look where that has got her….lol…Lipo is 2000 in Colombia
I’m sure Usher could afford to pay for his wife to get lipo here. I agree she probably just wanted to be anonymous. No one knows who she is in Brazil so she could have flown below the radar had there not been any complications.

maybe the thought of twilight anesthesia freaked her out and she wanted general anesthesia? (the movie ghost town springs to mind)
I’m sure she went there because she wanted to be under the radar. huge backfire.
Is there any recorded case of that ever happening to anyone in real life? At least in the U.S.?

One of my favrorite authors, Olivia Goldsmith, had a heart attack during plastic surgery. So sad.

the anesthesiologist wasn’t able to intubate her and after many attempts, she went into cardiac arrest.
fortunately it was reversible, and she is ok now
maybe no american doctor would do it so soon. maybe she wanted privacy. maybe they are hurting for the money.
Maybe it was really in Singapore. Maybe it wasnt a tummy tuck but a penis removal. She is a dude.
she was probably doing something more than just lipo. people generally go to brazil to do surgeries that would be illegal somewhere else. remember that woman with huuuuuuuuge breast implants, i forgot her name, always on e though. she goes to brazil every year to make them bigger – it looks horrible by the way.
but anyways, i hope she’s well. and really there’s no need to look all skinny again 2 months after you just gave birth.
people need to enjoy their maternity time and enjoy their kid for while, you can still exercise but don’t freak out about your look. this is exactly what the media does and all those anorexic chicks on tv.
My question is why didnt Usher tell her “Hell no” when/if she came to him about this? Was he approving of it?
Sounds like they learned nothing from the death of Kanye West’s mother. Plastic Surgeons need to be Board Certified otherwise you are taking an enormous risk especially with Lipo. Lipo is a dangerous operation.
I bet it was WAY more than a tummy work. And her “motherly hormones” were there to prevent her from doing it.
Wealthy people can be some of the cheapest people you’ll ever meet.
Wouldn’t surprise me that there were multiple reasons she went to Brazil for this cosmetic work (i.e. able to be anonymous, money, etc.).
A good doctor won’t do it because it takes your stomach (at least) a year to recover, especially if you had a c-section.
If you get a tummy tuck soon after, it will look like crap a year or two later as your skin continues to normalize.

General anesthesia is needed for regular liposuction. Sedation anesthesia can be used for laser liposuction which does not produce as quick results as regular lipo. Yes people suffer from adverse effects from general anesthesia all the time-if it is first time you don’t know how your body will react
