What was the problem with the economy again?
An old nude photo of Madonna sold at auction for $37,500, more than three times the expected sale price of $10K.
It was purchased by an unnamed European buyer.

I think it’s sad and funny at the same time that our concept of what women should look like has gotten so far away from what women actually do look like. It seems like the ideal of female beauty has become the tots in that TLC show about 3-year-old beauty queens; wide innocent eyes, lots of bright makeup, and no pubic hair. It’s quite sick, actually. There’s nothing wrong with the way Madonna looks in that picture; she has a great body. The photo itself reminds me of a Modigliani.

I agree with Anonymous. Most women, in order to not look like that, have to wax, shave or whatever. I get so sick of people saying that body hair is gross – everyone has it, and in order to look differently, most have to get rid of it. I think it’s more disgusting that it’s gotten so that people would rather a grown woman look like a little girl by ripping all that hair off.
