You know? On anyone else,I’d say it’s terrible but it suits her and is even a bit on the conservative side.
Dolly Parton can do no wrong in my book
I love Dolly but I really wish she would update her image to be more current. The bleach blonde hair and heavy makeup is very dated. I would like to see her with light brown hair and softer colors.
To see that you would have to find a pic of her without a wig — good luck! She admitted in the 80’s she wears wigs
Dolly has always stuck to her look, and that’s what i love about her. it’s changed very little over the years because that’s what she likes. as for the outfit, it’s a lot better than other things i’ve seen her wear and i think she looks cute. the nails are great but not for that outfit.

Dolly Parton is Dolly fuckin’ Parton, she is a living, breathing, vibrant and true living legend, who cares what the hell she chooses to wear, it matters not. That’s Dolly Parton. If she wears shit that doesn’t fit in some kind of universally approved fashion-forward mold or, or her dress style doesn’t cause Anna Wintour and Karl Lagerfeld and whothefuckever to swoon and publically call her choices brilliant, well, who the fuck cares? That’s Dolly Parton. She is her own presence, force and work of creative ingenuity, she does NOT need or give a rat’s ass about approval from us about thewhack shit she decides to wear all the time.
So, as far as “Love it or leave it,” Obviously, I love it. I love her. PLEASE don’t ever change, Ms. Parton! Dolly, you’re a true and classic American original; with the genius of your beautiful voice and the enormity of your heart and spirit, you could wear tow-truck mudflaps and hotel drapes and you’d still look goddamn brilliant to the entire eye-and-ear-havin’ world.
Even though I have never listened to Dolly Parton (stop the bashing – born and bred in Europe, 20 years old), I love your passionate defence of the woman!

Totally agree. Love. Love. Love Dolly Parton. I enjoy a small dose of country music and Dolly is my absolute number one. I always say “I love the ‘old’ Dolly Parton.” Meaning, the stuff she put out when she was young. Good stuff.
Well said! She truly is one of my heroes; an amazing woman, heart and soul. And she will never change for others. That is what’s so great about her. She isn’t afraid of opinions. She lives by her image of “a country girl’s idea of glamour.” and I love it!

I think this is a great look for Dolly. It’s actually a little toned-down and less flashy than her normal wear. But as others have said – who gives a fuck what she’s wearing? This woman has a heart of gold, beautiful voice, and more creative ingenuity than most people will ever obtain.
Oh Dolly Parton is just fabulous, she takes about all the work she’s had done and oh yeah she has a little thing called talent.

Dolly Parton is an absolute LEDGEND. Her amazing look just adds to her greatness. As she says ”it takes a lot to look this cheap”! she knows she looks totally artificail, and she loves it, so we all should:)! as long as people realises she has a heart beneath the boobs, and a brain beneath the wigs she doesnt mind! :) her music is also AMAZING. LEDGEND. i love Dolly xx
