“It’s Gordon… Gordon Ramsay?”

Paris Hilton in response to the question “Who is the Prime Minister of the UK?”  Yes, Paris, very good.  Gordon Ramsay, as PM of the UK, awards Michelin stars to distinguished British military personnel too.

    What a goob.

On a different note though…I love her hair! She looks adorabel in the pic.

  2. Rachel says:

The least she could have done was name the old Prime Minister! Blair was everywhere for most of the Bush presidency. (side note: I kind of love how that is the past now!)

  3. Lila says:

I think this is the first picture of her in which I think she looks nice. Weird.
And hey, at least she knew the first name. That’s something.

  4. Paris Troika says:

Yeeeaaah, I’m going to be a Paris apologist. Here I go.

I bet if you quizzed a room full of 20-something Americans (with no special interest in politics besides!), they wouldn’t be able to produce as much as ‘Gordon’. Paris has never claimed to be tuned into politics. Don’t you think it’s a little unfair to get on someone’s case for not knowing something on a subject which they have never claimed any expertise? I bet she doesn’t know who the chancellor of Germany is, either – and quick, without Google, do you?

The reasons to make fun of Paris Hilton are legion. There is absolutely no reason to stretch for subjects, so why, why, are we quizzing her on world leaders? Should we not just count ourselves fortunate that she’s not doing anything illegal and/or potentially fatal on Los Angeles highways?

Angella Merckell. She looks like Paul McCartney. But I read the paper.

I have a confession. I am a pretty smart cookie, but I just found out that Canada is under British rule. I had no idea that they are technically governed by the Queen of England. So, yeah, I know Gordon Brown, but apparently things like foreign policy and leaders are not taught that well in school at any level.

      • Persistent Cat says:

She’s on our money but that’s about it. Here in Canada, a separatist is her representative. Love that my tax dollars pay for her to fly around the world and represent us. But I guess this isn’t the forum to bitch about the Governor General.

      • Erin says:

I wish you could school me more on it! We should start a Jon & Kate Plus 8 like thread that will allow everyone to teach everyone else about their country/state of origin! It could be 1200 posts long and we would all be smarter for it!

      • Erin says:

Wow, I use a lot of exclamation points. I need to lay off the coffee.

    • Snowdevil says:

Excellent point, and so very right.

      • Clementine says:

        PC

Michaelle Jean is not a separatist, which is a rude and pejorative term, she is a former sovereignist. Who cares anyway? The post of Governor General should be suppressed entirely. It’s useless.

    • mcbiscuit says:

The fact that most Americans are also completely ignorant is no excuse.
I wonder though, could it be that Paris isn’t as stupid as she makes out? I was watching The Simple Life again the other day and when she asked “Walmart – is that where they sell stuff for walls?” I thought surely no one can be that ignorant. I’m not saying she would shop there, but surely she would have heard of it?

  5. Swadoo says:

Awesome. Stick to huffing glue and the obvious demands of macaroni art, idiot.

  6. slouchy says:

If she had a CT Scan of her brain, it would show nothing but tumbleweeds lazily rolling by.

  7. Abbi says:

Uh… I couldn’t have even given an answer

  8. V says:

I wouldn’t be able to answer that. Granted, I’m just a 17yr-old American but really… I don’t feel ashamed to not know who he is, what significance is his name to my life?

  9. lolly says:

she says this shit on purpose. she has admitted it. this girl has the ditzy blonde act down to a P.

  10. cj says:

I didn’t know either. I wish I felt more ashamed of myself. I have to say this is the cutest picture of her I’ve ever seen.

  11. Sprocket says:

    Bwahahahaha!!

  12. Kris says:

Ha! Gordon Brown wishes he was Gordon Ramsay, he would at least be admired for something then!

  13. Seb says:

I love her. I bet it’s all an act. At least I hope it is.

  14. yum says:

I’m sure she could name at least a hundred clothing designers, and maybe spell their names.

    • Persistent Cat says:

      Name? Yes. Spell? No.

I don’t buy her “I play dumb but I’m not really dumb” act. She’s an idiot.

  15. Gordon Ramsay says:

    …….Paris Who?

  16. Michelle says:

I’m stunned by how amazing she looks in this photo.
