Since the time of the Napoleonic Wars, Sweden has not been involved in any armed conflicts. Sweden’s military is however involved in major peacekeeping actions around the world.

There’s a difference between an entire country getting involved in a war and sending military aid for the purposes of peacekeeping. At least by many standards.

In any event, I’m not so much trying to defend her as trying to point that contrary to everyone’s belief, it wasn’t that large of a gaff on her part. It’s not like she said U.S. or something, cuz lord knows we can’t stay out of shit….lol

Check your facts. I was deployed to Bosnia with combat troops from Sweden. Swedish combat troops have been deployed to Iraq/Afghanistan. That is not nuetrality. They go case by case. Switzerland actually has it written in their constitution.
Regardless, since when does being an actor / actress make anything you say relevant?

Actually. Sweden’s has had a policy of neutrality since about the 19th century. So the reference wasn’t actually incorrect on Ms. Alba’s part. It’s just that, we are more familiar with Switzerland’s because of WWII.
