I have a friend here in Texas that is a lobbyist. He worked to create a bill that makes it a felony with a minimum sentence of 10 years in the case of a hit and run where the victim is left with serious injuries or death. It used to be five years for failure to stop and render aid.

This was a great law in my opinion. I can’t imagine what goes through one’s head when they hit someone, but I just don’t know where the instinct to run comes from. When I hit a CAT I go back, how do you not do so with a human??

Aren’t we going to make fun of the fact that he’s orange? Because he is. Orange. At least his spray tan doesn’t sink into his neck wrinkles like it does to the ladies I work with but still. You do see that he’s orange. It’s not just me, right?
