Vanessa Hudgens to Join the Cast of Twilight???

Lucky Vanessa Hudgens!
She wrapped up one sensational teen franchise, and now it looks like she’ll be jumping right into another.
Sources on the set — specifically “Twilight” actress Ashley Greene — confirmed that Vanessa has auditioned for the role of werewolf Leah Clearwater, Jacob Black’s feisty and heartbroken frienemy in the Twilight sequel, New Moon.
I wonder if she’ll also be jumping into Rob Pattinson’s pants, since he’s her hot new co-star. How long can she possibly stay with Zac Efron? It’s been forever!!!

I’ve never seen Vanessa in anything and I haven’t seen twilight, however, as long as it isn’t Miley joining the cast for anything I’m happy. I have the most unmitigated hatred for that girl.

Leah needs to be fiesty, cold and angry. Basically a woman scorned. Vanessa cannot pull that off. Her voice STILL sounds like a baby when she talks.
I totally agree. I don’t think she’d fit the role very well considering her acting isn’t strong enough to play such a cold character.

Seriously, if they were considering cutting out Taylor Lautner from the movies because he wasn’t “manly” and buff enough, Vanessa Hudgens should not even BE considered since Leah is tall, has a muscular build and is basically one of the guys.

She’s not right for it at all. Leah is a much deeper character than I think Vanessa could play.
And whether she likes it or not, Vanessa has been typecasted. I don’t think anyone would take her seriously in that role.
And, if they continue to make the movies, I don’t think she could play a very good werewolf either

I dont think vanessa would make a good Leah not becuase of her acting , personally she may surprise everyone and pull it off .. but the thing is in the book Leah is described as being 6′1 with a muscular body and having a sixpack . Unless vanessa is planning in pulling a Taylor Lautner I dont think her features fit the character
