Anne Hathaway Gets Metaphysical In Palm Springs Acceptance Speech

All of Hollywood is buzzing about this today:
Anne Hathaway, a Desert Palm Achievement Award recipient, seemed to lose the audience while discussing “process metaphysics.” That prompted a surprised comment from almost always perky emcee, Mary Hart. “Did I hear that from backstage correctly? We just got into metaphysics? Whatever happened to good ol’ blonde bimbos?” she quipped.
Apparently Anne turned off a lot of people in attendance by ending her acceptance speech with some manner of rant about “process metaphysics” and “religious plurality” and other bits of strangeness.
This must have been videotaped and I’d love to see it myself.

Wow… weird… I just got out of my physics class and earlier learned about plurality in one of my business classes. weird…very weird…
God forbid. An intelligent, well-educated woman with complex ideas and a large vocabulary speaking to the masses? Somebody get her out of here.
call me crazy, but just because you’re intelligent and well-educated doesn’t mean you should necessarily be giving acceptance speeches about process metaphysics.
conversely, just because you’re talking about process metaphysics doesn’t necessarily mean you’re intelligent and/or well-educated.
maybe it all made sense in context though. where’s that vid, folks?

Hi Beet……I love your site. It is the first place I visit ever morning (and several times a day). I have not found the acceptance speech you are looking for, but I will try to point you in the right direction.
I live in the area (Palm Springs) and there are interviews from the red carpet with the nominees from our local ABC and FOX affiliate KESQ. Their website is kesq.com……also try kmir.com….that is the local NBC affililiate.
Perhaps Anne’s metaphysical acceptance speech will end up on there soon!
