The dog who played the Grown up Marley did some of the best acting I’ve seen in years. Seriously, the death scene was done with dignity. I’ve had to put an old dog down and it was just like reliving it.

Note to Beet: I heard they kill the dog in the end. Don’t know if you have seen it, if I have ruined it for you, or what. But once I heard that they kill Marley, I vowed not to see it. Figured you might want to know, I know that you’re a dog lover too.

Oh man, the entire movie is SO funny and then the end made me ball like a baby. The entire theatre joined together in simultaneous sniffling and I saw most of the women in the bathroom afterwards blowing their nose. Wonderful movie though & highly recommended w/ two thumbs up. Valkyrie was also suprisingly good and Yes Man was HYSTERICAL!

That movie was, AWESOME!
Me, my mother, and my sister were in tears at the end, along with the rest of the theatre.

I was really disappointed in the the movie Marley and Me. First of all, it did not follow the book theme. The book was all about Marley and the movie focused way more on the people. And in the end, Marley’s death was handled more like a celebration of his life. I was mortified when they SHOWED a dog being euthanized! (I know it wasn’t “real” but why the fuck was it even necessary?) Jesus Christ!! I just had to have this done to my Golden Retriever, (for the same condition) a few weeks prior and I couldn’t even go in with him. My husband had to go. I would have been PISSSSSSSSEDD OFFF if I had brought children to that film, thinking I was coming to see a movie about a rambunctious pooch and then had to sit through his “murder”. How ’bout some truth in advertising, Hollywood?
