Barack Obama has officially selected Hillary Clinton as his secretary of state.

He also selected Janet Napolitano as his secretary of homeland security. Napolitano’s a comparatively unknown name, but she’s been governor of my home state, Arizona, forever. She’s a Democrat, too, and continues to get re-elected again and again in an predominately Republican state. That’s how good she is at her job. So this is awesome news.

Also on the chick front, Barack selected Susan Rice as United Nations ambassador.

Good choice, Mr. President-elect!

You know what’s funny? I almost titled this post “Lohan Overdose,” since it’s basically an OD of Lohan pics, but then I was like, “Oh, no, I can’t do that, everyone’ll think she’s dead.” Ah, celebrities.

Anyway, Lindsay just uploaded a ton of new pics to her MySpace, and I have awesome readers who alert me everytime this happens, because we are all in this obsession together. They include some of her with Samantha, and Lily Allen, and a cute one of Samantha’s car being towed away.

Ivana Trump announced today that she did, in fact, file separation papers from her fourth husband, Rossano Rubicondi, about three months ago.

“Rossano wants to live in Miami and work in Milan,” she said. “But, I am a New Yorker and my family, friends and businesses are here. As the beautiful song says, ‘Que sera sera!’”

When asked why she was just now announcing the separation, Ivana said — and this is not a joke — that she didn’t want to ruin Rubicondi’s chances as a contestant on the Italian edition of the reality TV show Survivor.

These people’s lives are so surreal.

New “it” girl on the block, Shanae Grimes, struts her stuff at the Gemini Awards in Canada. The event was hosted by a wax statue of Jason Priestly, which Shanae took some time to pose with.

This clip of Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner on Tyra’s show is worth watching just to hear Tyra spend a minute talking in a British accent, and behaving as though she is really, really good at it.

Also: Taylor Lautner is WAY HOTTER with short hair than with long. I didn’t think much of him in the film (he plays Jacob) but in this clip he’s definitely attractive.
