so…erm, do you think the kurds are upset that the dictator that nearly caused their extinction is dead? bush has not been the best president. but i think we should remember that the civil war took place over the economy of the country… the emancipation of slaves was a fortunate by-product. no one ever, EVER goes to war now over issues of mrality, what’s right and wrong. it’s all about the money. you know why there is mass genocide in sudan and darfur, and our government doesn’t give two shits? because there is NOTHING there for us to exploit. it’s how it works.

Gosh it’s sad knowing how uneducated people can be. I’m sure most Iraqis are soooo upset that “we killed their president” even though, as you mentioned, he was tried and convicted by his own country.

I am seriously cracking up at the idea that America is all about killing people “in cold blood.” How does that even apply here?

But you know how I know, most of all, that ‘lisa’ is a moron? The fact that she took a comment posted by TSS seriously. :P

Saddam was executed by Iraq – Bush did not do it. We just found him cowering in a hole, we didn’t hang him. If I remember correctly, he was tried and convicted.

Yep, what an improvement. Now they can just get killed by stray bullets or random machine gun fire on the streets, those lucky people.

Saddam was a cruel dictator but people are dying at a faster rate now than during his regime. So Bush improved shit all. Also, don’t be delusional: the war had nothing to do with “liberating” the Iraqi people, and all to do with oil. This journalist has seen the suffering of his fellow Iraqis and has every right to throw a shoe or two at that useless excuse of a president.

Actually, it’s kind of ironic that he chose to do this to Bush. If he had tried this with Saddam Hussein what do you think the repercussions would have been? Things are quite different in Iraq now, though. Why? Oh, that’s right…because the U.S. went and liberated the people of Iraq from that f***ing lunatic. So the point is, for all of you foaming at the mouth Bush haters who state the Iraq war is a total failure and loss, it seems that people there can now at least express themselves, including through the throwing of footwear at a foreign leader, and probably not worry as much about being hung from their balls for 36 hours before being executed. I would call that an improvement over the previous political environment.
